Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Even though not near the lifts there was a continual hum/vibration when the lifts in use....mind usually only 2 out of four lifts working! Room also had an interleading door ...a rather large gap under the door so light shone through and could hear the entirety of whoever in that other rooms conversation/TV! Breakfast was not well stocked and considering no children seen in 3 days there who serves cheerios, sweetened granola or frosties for breakfast??? Reception not particularly friendly or helpful Totally overpriced

I did not like the very tough bacon served at breakfast.
It was a good location for a conference and was close to other restaurants for evening meals.

We paid nearly $300 a night U.S. which is probably one of the most expensive rooms we have ever rented but given our circumstances I guess it was to be expected as we had to check in last minute after an Airbnb we had rented turned out to be unusable by us because of heavy spray scents which affected my wife’s allergies and asthma. Otherwise, the hotel was very good.
Excellent location, accommodating staff, good small meals dining, clean and comfortable, good wifi.

The pillows are universally soft and non supporting. Why not offer a choice of firmness in pillows in each room?
As they charge $25 for a breakfast, we passed.

Maybe we were exceptionally unlucky, but the front desk staff were unnecessarily rude to us. She looked us slowly up and down as we approached with a look of disgust and asked odd questions after confirming my reservation with my ID. She proceeded to treat us like riff-raff and put us in the worst room with a view of the ventilation system. I wouldn't care, but I paid $750+/night. Least they can do is be polite for a simple quick check-in.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the hotel
I liked the view the layout of the room and how much space there was very beautiful hotel room. The shower was amazing and I would recommend this hotel to family and friends and would not mind booking another room the next time I visit and need to stay at a hotel 😊

The value for money is very poor. 850 USD/night is per say a rip off, and when you consider that the bedroom is coming with a bathroom that has a bath tub with a plastic tent, instead of a shower, then it's terrible. Also, 48 USD for a breakfast of 2 eggs and some fruit does not deserve any comment.

We had to wait 5 hours to check in upon arrival. We were not informed of the concierge breakfast on the 16th floor the first day. We expected personal concierge service, but there was none. We needed concierge service regarding transportation in Anchorage, but there was none. We expected a belcony on the elite 15th floor, but there was none. The Bellman was either absent or too busy to help us.

The tv didn’t work in our room and despite multiple messages and maintenance input it still didn’t work and we had to change rooms. We had already changed rooms away from the elevators as too noisy. It’s not a bad hotel, just quite average but very expensive. Minimal toiletries, no robes or slippers. Breakfast buffet is just ok, room service the same. The staff were pleasant but there was a lot of miscommunication. Overall underwhelming.
Located in central downtown Anchorage. Beds were comfortable.
