Stonington Connecticut itself is very pretty this hotel needs some work you can see from the outside it needs work the backyard is available to walk your dog but you see we're all the extra mattresses equipment are they don't do a good job of concealing all that stuff. I don't know if they're short-staffed there's an older gentleman taking care of the front desk if you had to talk to the manager assistant manager they probably work remote to answer your questions. I was safe and fine with my dog they are on the first floor would people overhead who are heavy foot traffic people and constantly were smoking downstairs first floor outside my room ridiculous absolutely ridiculous if you're going to smoke which I know you can't smoke in your room then go 150 ft away from the dam bedrooms. I did not have hot water because the attachment for the shower did not rotate to hot water it only went medium and cold I told the manager about it they're able to give me a discount on my final rate which I said is fine and fair Stonington Connecticut is very nice you need to find another spot to travel to though I don't recommend this facility at all. The outside needs some upgrades inside isn't too bad but absolutely don't take in Travelers we're going to be rude lead feet above your head

It was a low price the facility within the bedroom area was fine although they could have swept a little better it's hard for us that's fine no carpeting but you could have swept better rather than me seeing crumbs on the ground. Yes they're pet friendly but they charge $35

The hot water was gone pretty much right after we got into the shower. And my partner and I even shared a shower. It was freezing in the bathroom as well due to a constant fan going when the light is on but we worked around it!

Even though the owners struggled with English a little bit, they did everything in their power to understand our wants and needs for the weekend. We ended up having to stay another night due to a snow storm so we spent a total of 3 nights in this hotel. They were very accessible and kind the whole time.

From the office to the room all you could smell was mold, there was mold on the outside of the refrigerator. it was cold and we had no warm blankets. When the door is completely closed you can see outside. Very disappointed as we have stayed at other BVI and a completely different experience.

The room had not been vacuumed, the carpet was very dirty. We had ants in our room. The person checking us in said our room number aloud. Stating a room out loud a huge NO-NO for safety reasons. You NEVER say a room # aloud even if there is no one else in the area. That is a #1 rule in hospitality. We secured the room with one credit card and told the clerk when we were checking in that we wanted to charge a different card. I asked him if he wanted me to change the card information in the booking.com app. He said no he would take care of it and still charged the wrong card.

Check in process was a nightmare, staff was not helpful. Poor lighting in main hallways. Room was the size of a closet, dirty, out dated. The room felt unsafe. We lasted 2 minutes and found another hotel down the road. Would not recommend.

They took forever to find me a room after trying to place me in a double bed room when I paid for a king bed room. The staff were hard to communicate with and rude. They came to my room early in the morning telling me that my card didn't go through for the room that was after showing them all the confirmation emails and giving them the pin the night before. I explained to them once again and after leaving my room they tried to charge me again thankfully my card was locked. They were in front of my room this morning being locked and rude. The whole stay was really uncomfortable
