How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This place is very run down. It’s clear there are people living here at the hotel. For the price it was ok for a quick overnight when getting in at 10pm and leaving by 7am. But I would never book here for anything longer. They need to do better in maintenance and cleaning the area around hotel as there were cigarette butts everywhere and a broken down truck in parking lot. Not very presentable. Also, they say on here the pet charge is 10 dollars but I was charged 20 dollars, which is a rip off when you are only there for 8 hours to just sleep!

A decision should be made to condemn the property and doing a teardown to put it out if its misery followed by biohazard site clean up. And, the so-called "renovation" supposedly going on is a a joke, as nothing of that sort is actually occuring, w/ no impact or positive upgrades evident. What a waste of $ and time. That there are many homeless & troubled ppl being housed here full-time wasn't disclosed to us at anytime during booking or check-in progress, tho it sure should've been. We then could have booked elsewhere. We're in the process of moving, & valuable goods were in our Uhaul van. More than one "resident" approached us, curiosi about what we had in the van. Gee, I wonder why. No way could we risk keeping it there overnight. Tho exhausted after a 10-hr drive, we had to find other lodging. After a few hrs of searching, luckily we secured quality, safe lodging, late @ night on a holiday weekend, at that. We checked out when we secured a safer place to go. I'm typing this fm the hotel we were so lucky to book last minute. It's a gift, safe, vlean w/ great staff. My gratitude for escaping that unsafe, criminal element dump knows no bounds. I know the terms of stay stated the 1st nite would be charged, w/ the unused nights being refunded. BUT- since the situation of this being used as residence for homeless, etc.wasn't disclosed b4 or when,we showed up at night, after 10 hrs on the road, I think that exception should be made & the 1st night's stay refunded back to my credit card as well. We had to go to go to time & worry (after a 10hr drive!) to find safe local lodging. Which shouldn't have ever happened. Other than our observation & creepy ppl trying to accost us, presence of vicious dogs owned by "tenants", & being asked about our van, filth of oroperty,, etc,, the only way I found out about the was by asking, the desk to verify this, & they did.

The room was terrible old, musty. Cigarette holes in blankets, pillows were flimsy. Worst of all the security lock on the door was broken. We slept with a chair up against the door. Window curtains did not close all the way- I used a hair clip to close them . Noise level outside was loud all night.

Cleanliness ( walked into room and the carpet had disgusting stains), the pool was out of order, only got one key card, it took 20 minutes to fill the bathtub 1/2 way to take a bath. Too much furniture in the room. And no place to plug the coffee make except in the bathroom. One light was unplugged because it kept flickering. Simple fix (change the light bulb)? Family of 5 making waffles and only one waffle maker. By the time it was going to be my turn I would have had to wait over 15 minutes. And nevermind the seconds they took. Other people were waiting in line to make waffles and no maple syrup to be found. No cream for the coffee, just the fake powered stuff.

The floor was wet throughout the room and when we took our shoes off it was dirty and turned our feet black. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and I was traveling with young children. The hotel advertised as having a pool but the pool was apparently closed for the season.

The clientele was mostly there for illegal activities. I do not recommend this place for your average middle class traveler.
