Parking is tight and maybe hard to get. We had two rooms, but one room did not have towels. Second evening's stay at America's Best Value aka Travel Lodge in San Clemente was good.

Husband and wife owned Americans Best Value Inn. Location is near Whale Watching events. Owner, Mr. V. initially denied us reserved rooms when he couldn't find us on his computer. The following days were nice accommodations.

The motel is old and could use some renovation. The mattress on the bed was pretty soft and worn out.

No breakfast offered. Parking is limited and very tight, but some is also on the street outside the building. The room is very spacious.

Charming hotel within walking distance to Downtown and the beach. The bed was comfortable and I liked the space in the shower. Very helpful staff. Free parking a plus

The husband and wife took forever to find my husband and I a room. And they wanted to make a copy of my debt card info as a security deposit they said that they would shred it afterwards but I never heard of that before so I said no. I only left cash instead as a security deposit. And the parking is terrible. There isn’t enough parking spots at this property. I had to park down the street from the hotel at night! I do not recommend this place at all.

At night, parking isn’t really available. The small lot has tight spaces so trucks and other bigger vehicles took up two spots. I ended up parking in the local neighborhood where a neighbor got mad. The price is way too high. The overall property and rooms need renovation and to charge $600 for two nights with no amenities…not worth it. You could stay 25 min away in Irvine and pay half that for rooms with breakfast included.

it’s in a decent area to restaurants, the pier, and other local places. The room was really clean. The front desk gentleman was sooo kind upon arrival. way better than Casablanca inn.

the people up above you can hear them walking back and forward, also kind of smell like humidity and the mattress seems old made a lot of noise while trying to sleep.

Alpina or AL was really nice. Very pleasant and helpfull. Always seems to be there when u need something.

About everything. The room was not clean, couldn't take a bath due to possible flooding, the mattress was awful. Looked for American Value Inn, wasn't on the building. It had Budget Lodge on the building. Took us almost 45 minutes to finally get there, after calling and was finally told it was budget lodge. There were hairs on the bathroom floor and food crumbs against the wall behind the table.

Parking was very limited, the last night I had to park on the street. The spaces on the right side of the garage only fit compact cars.

The location was just excellent. It is a 10 minute to the San Clemente pier. Parking at the San Clement pier is difficult to find, so allow more time for this.

The door got stuck in the bathroom and my children were trapped, there were crumbs all over the floor, the ac was broken and the linen was dirty

The staff. My mistake was I booked a single queen bed room. I needed 2 queen beds. I checked on Booking.com and saw the hotel still had rooms. I contacted the man at the front desk and told him of my mistake. He gave me another room, but charged me more for it than the internet price. I protested the price difference and he said that was the best he could do. I’ve walked into hotels before and they always will match or beat the internet price. I will never stay there again and 2 of my children live there, so I’ll go back to the place I’ve stayed at before. One other thing. Who ever painted the room got paint all over the towel racks, the counter top and other surfaces in the room. It looks very sloppy. Like I said. I come down 3 to 4 times a year to see my family and Americans best value inn will not see me as a customer again.

The property is centrally located, so it is easy to get around.
