The french toast was awesome. The location was the center of attention for the city. It is a historical venue so everything is a little outdated. The shower is small. It was fine for a one night stay.

Price for some of the rooms are kind of high.

The location was amazing! The view I had from my balcony was breathtaking and if I could sit there every morning drinking my coffee, until I’m old and gray…. I would die happy. The staff was very helpful and kind. Shout out to Peggy and Shane. Peggy, thank you for being a one-of-a-kind woman, and a real-life genuine human being. Never stop being you!

Bathroom sink drained very slowly. A lot of iron in the water.

Location is excellent, a short walk to multiple stores, parks and the flooded St. Croix River.

We originally booked the regular room. The pictures were great online, but once we got there, we were stunned at the very small size of the room. It was tiny and the ridiculous price of 179.00 did not match the room quality. We expected much more. We ended up upgrading to a whirlpool room and that was fantastic, but had to pay 60.00 more.

Our upgraded whirlpool room. Excellent breakfast. Staff was awesome. Bartender in the Current was great even though he was overworked. Peggy, at the front desk was great. I loved that the staff takes people to their room. All of the amenities were amazing! Great service all the way around.

First room was quiet small. Sufficient for the night. Second night upgraded to a king size bed with Jacuzzi. Excellent room. Very quiet. Breakfast was good. Staff was fantastic. Peggy was very charming.

When I made the reservation, I believed the price was quoted as 210.00 or around that...However we were charged 315.00, would not have stayed there for that price up front!!

The food was good...I liked sitting in the hot tub...The bed was Very Comfy!!

Older classic hotel, needs some updating in some of the rooms.

Great location, close to the beautiful St. Croix River and they have a great bar/restaurant on site. Peggy at the front desk was the nicest and most helpful person I’ve dealt with at any hotel. The entire staff is amazing!!

Just needed a little more coffee. Not a complaint, just an observation. Bathrom could use a bit of decor to tone down all the white.

A wonderful stay at Afton Inn! We were warmly greeted and taken care of by Sara. A personal escort to our suite was a classy touch. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Room #3 is a beautifully appointed suite, wonderful hot tub, fireplace, comfy queen bed, nice back deck to enjoy. Very walkable area, which we loved. Parking was limited due to a local festival. Fun little town with unique shops, the marina and pleasant people. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The kitchen staff seemed short handed and ran out of coffee a few times, not a huge deal. Everyone is doing the best they can. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this as a nice get away.

Breakfast looked lovely but really would have loved more vegan options. I couldn’t even have cereal because there was no non-dairy milk. Room was dated.

The in room jetted tub was fantastic! Staff was kind. Justin? I believe was very helpful on the phone. Location was beautiful. Took a walk by the st croix in the morning and the weather was lovely. The gas fireplace looked nice, bed was comfortable.

Could have been cleaner. There are many outdated decorations on the walls that were very dusty/dirty. There was a pill from a previous guest in the corner on the floor. The deck and chairs off of our room needed to be cleaned. TV placement in bedroom was weird. I suspect it is there due to a limitation of some sort, but even moving the bed to a different wall to accommodate would make more sense. Also, the TV in the main room was so small, we could barely see it from across the room. I realize that watching TV when there are other things to do may not be a priority and older structures have limitations on what can be installed where.

Breakfast was okay. Glad there were hot food options and not just continental breakfast. Location was great - cute little town. The people working there were very accommodating, friendly and helpful.
