The breakfast option was limited. It would have been great if the kitchen offered some variation in the breakfast menu on daily or alternate day basis.

The location is in the downtown Portland easily accessible by the frequent red line rail from the airport. The rooms are pleasant and clean. There are a lot of restaurants around for trying out different cuisines. Overall it was nice stay.

Because there was no on-site parking, we had to park across the street in a parking garage where, unfortunately, our car was broken into, and some items were stolen. We parked before checking in, but since we are not from the area, we didn't know if that parking garage was a safe place to park. I wish the receptionist would have asked where we parked so that we could have been advised not to park where we did if they knew it was unsafe. Which I would have a hard time believing they wouldn't know. Especially after having done my own quick investigation after the fact. It's partly on me for not having done that first and partly on the hotel for not being more proactive about the parking situation, but it is definitely mostly on Portland & SmartPark for having poor safety & security policies around that area specifically. Long story short, don't park at the SmartPark @ 4th &Yamhill in downtown Portland. Or, at the very least, be aware that it is a hot spot for vehicle break-ins.

Everything within the hotel was nice and clean with modern decor and amenities. Just no parking.

Loved the location, close by amenities, city park, and transit. The hotel was really clean and designed nicely. Rooms feel up to date and high end. Breakfast was great, better than standard buffet but is $15 USD.

We were a party of 3 and there aren't enough places to hang towels in the bathroom after use, if we want to reuse them. We felt bad for the girl working the breakfast area on Saturday. She was the only one working out front and the area was full and the food was running low. She could have used more help.

It was a little dated and not the cleanest. One of my teens commented on the dirt, and her room is a pit. But I think it was more a function of datedness.

We experienced two days without room cleaning and refreshments. After two days, we requested it at the front desk and waited in the lobby. The front desk staff said they would notify us when the room was ready, but they did not. Some staff members are not well-prepared to assist international guests and became frustrated when explaining the security deposit process, which differs from what I am used to in my country. There was confusion regarding the issuance of my receipt for reimbursement, as they initially refused because the booking was made through Booking.com. We had to return to the hotel to resolve this. Additionally, the downtown area, where the hotel is located, unfortunately, has a significant number of drug users.

The room and hotel premises are comfortable and cozy, providing a pleasant atmosphere for guests. The location is convenient, situated near bus and train stations, making it easy to get around. The hotel also offers excellent gym facilities, perfect for maintaining fitness routines while traveling. The valet team is helpful, as are some members of the front desk staff, although not all are well-trained. Despite this, I would stay here again for its value and location.
