The dogs in other rooms barking early in the morning. It did appear that the renovations to our rooms wasn't fully completed. Parking for our truck & trailer was an issue. We had to park on the street. The hotel did advertise a free breakfast but we wouldn't classify dry pre packaged muffins and juice boxes a "breakfast"

A bit cramped for space

Location! Right on the river. Great views of bridges old and new. Short walk to Main Street restaurants and a bit further north to river parks Comfy and clean beds.

Limited parking . Room was small, very dated and bed was too soft for our backs.

The room was clean, bed was very comfortable. The water pressure for the shower was great. A good night's sleep in a clean, comfortable bed & a good price also. Staff very friendly.

The exterior could be spruced up a bit, but that didn't really impact my stay.

The location is right on the water with a lovely view of the river from the hotel's picnic area. Nice spot to enjoy the grab and go breakfast. It is an older property, currently undergoing some renovations, and the rooms are not huge, but that said, the room has everything you need and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also a good size with good lighting. I come through the area once or twice a year and definitely plan to stay here again.

The air conditioner did seem to blow on all night with the light showing the temperature that was quite bright.

I liked the location it had a great view of the river. Do not expect a big breakfast. The breakfast was a small muffin and fruit.

The a/c was noisy. And the desk lady called me & told me I needed to come & check in before going to get supper. I had traveled a long ways & really needed to eat first. She said must check in by 10. I knew that. And could have easily eaten ,& checked in before 10. But she wanted to be done by 8:30. I have used their hotel in the past & do try to support family business. Not sure if I will book there for my next trip.

There were toenail clippings on the floor and trash on the floor and in garbage can from previous patron. There was a dirty towel on the back of the door in the bathroom. The staff checked us in herself and then called me late and asked if I was going to check in.

First, our fridge had not been properly closed and was defrosting, leaving the carpet wet. The desk clerk gave us a towel to soak up the wetness from the carpet. That was a good thing because I needed it at 7:00 the next morning when the toilet overflowed! The gurgling sound from OUR bathtub when someone in a nearby room was showering was a clue that the plumbing was highly suspect. When I flushed (no inappropriate matter was in it!), the toilet bowl filled and then water (and perhaps human waste) began pouring out on the floor from the base of the toilet. I went to the front desk, but no one was awake; the desk clerk came in her pjs. I informed her what had happened and said I should get a discount on the room. She could make no decision herself, and no cleaning person was offered. When the proprietor finally was awake, it took until near check-out time for the decision to be made to give a discount (and that was only because the desk clerk called her on the phone.) The hotel should have had someone on call immediately for a situation like this; it could have been a serious health risk.

The location was lovely with the promised view of the bridge and river just outside.
