How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Just a little too much light in the room at night from outside porch lights.
The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Pool area was clean and chairs were always available. The central location to everything was perfect for me.

The only thing I would bad about it was that the hot water in the shower wasn't that hot at all.

I would've like fresh fruit and and bread to make toast for the breakfast. Please fix the broken statute on the pool deck.
The room, bathroom, and outside pool were great. I also really appreciate the gifts for the drinks and shows.

The place is a little rickety and you can hear your neighbors in the adjacent room.
Staff was very good about communicating via email and phone. They helped with after hours check in and parking off site. The free happy hour drink coupon was a nice offer. The continental breakfast offerings were a pleasant amenity.

So friendly, staff were all lovely and other guests very friendly too. We had what was described as a budget room at the front of the hotel. While other rooms were bigger this was more than adequate and in the perfect location overlooking the street. For the most part quiet by a reasonable hour for sleep. Room 22. Great pool though the hot tub was maybe a little too hot at times. Very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is nothing special due to everything having to be individually packaged but a lot better than some other hotels we stayed in and more than adequate. Great location right in the middle of Duval street with clubs and bars very close. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Key West after this.

Our room was in need of repairs (there was a haphazard patch in the ceiling, rust on the stove/kitchenette and bathroom was very small and shower as well. And room was quite expensive for this time of year.
Great pool and bar area (clothing optional)....as well as hot tub. VERY friendly, helpful staff that gave us several excellent recommendations for restaurants and bars.

The street side gate was difficult to maneuver with the key card.
Our 2nd visit, friendly staff and clean facilities our only choice to stay in Key West. Keep up the good work guys! Will see y'all again soon I hope.

Some women were in the back "Male Only" pool/bar area. It seemed they were locals and knew some of the employees. Their presence was a little disappointing considering all the signage and talk of "Male Only" area.
Stephen at the front desk was amazing. Great information and recommendations for our group.

The room next to the pool was too small. The room was empty the whole morning until 1 pm and it wasn’t clean. Cleaner promised to come back later but he didn’t. The music in the bar was way too loud on the first night.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Real continental breakfast. Great location, you can walk everywhere from there.
