We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAbsolutely nothing! The Escalante is a first class boutique hotel. It's tucked away surrounded by beautiful tropical plants. You have access to the private pool and hot tub 24/7 The staff is exceptionally nice and always ready to assist you with anything you may need.
The breakfast is first class. Fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, side of granola, choice of bread ( we chose avocado toast) fresh juice and coffee.

United StatesNothing…. Everything was perfect! That’s most unusual in today’s world!
Everything was excellent at Hotel Escalante! All the staff were attentive, helpful, kind and respectful in every way possible! Escalante is a quiet paradise just off 5th Avenue shopping and restaurants! We want to give a shout out to Marco! He was the most efficient, genuine and delightful assistant one could want and always helped out with a friendly smile. The room was immaculate, the service beyond expectation, and the pool and dining area was a bit of heaven. Secure parking nearby and a delicious continental breakfast were included at no extra charge. My wife and I give them 10 stars on the 5-star rating! Best ever! Thanks a million for making our short stay for our wedding anniversary celebration so memorable!

United Statesnothing !
we came from London and stayed at this hotel which is a special oasis in the town ! we travel to the Greek islands and Long beach island nj where we have family frequently and we’re delighted to stay at the Escalante—— the hot tub and pool were lovely —- hotel is similar to a key west and Mediterranean style —nothing else like it in Naples —-exclusive and wonderful ambiance with staff that can’t do enough for the guests! we loved the bicycles and riding around olde Naples —we rode the bikes to lunch at the dock restaurant at crayton cove and then over to third street —

United KingdomFor the price point - I was expecting more - perhaps a welcome drink on arrival and afternoon nibbles/drinks were advertised but in our 5 days there we never saw anyone offering anything. Our biggest disappointment was that the restaurant seems to dominate - felt like it was a restaurant with a couple of rooms - for example at 4pm the staff set out the tables for evening service which on one night was literally setting up tables right next to our sun lounger which was next to the pool and on my other side was the musician setting up his equipment - which wasn't relaxing. Felt a little uncomfortable lying in the middle of dining tables in my swim wear. Service starts at 5pm so you could be sitting by the pool as people arrive for dinner. The rooms are right next to the outdoor restaurant so you can hear the diners, which was ok, but one night when the staff were tidying up around 10.30 they were really loud -lots of shouting - perhaps they forgot people were staying there. On our last day there was a big business lunch being set up in the outdoor restaurant - again which is pretty much next to the pool - so I would have def felt uncomfortable walking about or having lunch there. Also the whole point of going to this hotel is for its chilled out quiet vibe but if the restaurant is being used for large business meetings then I would have rather stayed somewhere else. Our room was just OK in terms of size but the decor was slightly bizarre - I appreciate an eclectic look but things felt cheap and totally 'off' ie. the drawers in the cupboard were made of cheap cloth and had seen much better days, picture was coming away from the frame, bed creaked a lot, tiny shower gel - sample size? and considering the room only gets replenished once a day - 1 shower gel barely last 24 hours for 2 people, door to shower very stiff and it was a struggle to shut the actual shower door once you were inside the shower.
Location was amazing - 2 min walk from shops and restaurants and it's close to the beach. Food was good - however, breakfast was a little limited. Marco was fantastic and super helpful!! Hot pool was lovely. On a couple of days we had the pool to ourselves for a few hours which was bliss.

United StatesThe restaurant didn't have lunch, if we wanted to spend the afternoon at the pool and we got hungry we had to order food to be delivered, they didn't let us put music in the pool area, or the jacuzzi, or outside the room, not even on the phone. The place is beautiful, but I recommend it more for older people who just want to listen to birds. Breakfast is included but it's very simple, just fruit, a croissant and coffee. If you want eggs or something different, there's none.
The place is beautiful, the rooms and the people who work are friendly!
