All hotels along the beach have quite aggressive vendors on the beach which makes it a little uncomfortable to walk on the beach

Mvuvi is a really nice boutique hotel. We stayed in the family room, which are large rooms, well laid-out. The breakfast was really good, extensive range of choice and view over the beach. You have the choice to eat at both of their hotels (a short walk over the beach). We booked the half-board and dinner options were plenty, both a la carte as well as a different 3 course menu every day. A perfect option if you are a kitesurfer of foiler with a sympathetic, professional kite centre on site.

The beach was disappointing - when walking on it, feet sank a long way into the sand. Quite a long way from the local shops and ATM. No local restaurants.

A magical stay! The staff were warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, and dining with your feet in the sand was unforgettable. The room was spotless, comfy, and offered a breathtaking view. Easily the best setting I’ve experienced. Highly recommend this boutique gem in Zanzibar — I’d return in a heartbeat!

I only have positive words to describe our stay. Great location, with a stunning sea-view. This beautiful, intimate resort is nicely embedded in the landscape. Staff is exceptional and always ready to go the extra mile for you - with a smile. The food is great, both restaurants offer a rich menu with a good value for money. I would definitely reccomend this place expecially if you are looking for a relaxed and intimate environment.

We had the best stay at Mvuvi. Our room was located in the beach lounge part of the resort so we spent most of our trip there. The grounds on the resort are beautiful. The photos on the website don’t do this place justices We instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived - it’s paradise ❤️ Breakfast is fantastic and unlimited, which was a plus to my partner! Most importantly the staff made our visit extra special- they are extremely polite and attentive - but not too attentive.

A wonderful hotel, at a great spot with a lot of options for relaxing, kitesurfing (excellent team and service), snorkeling….Superb staff and management and delicious food. Beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Thank you to the entire staff and Andrej, Carolina, Grace, and Flore for making this an unforgettable trip. Hope to be back again soon.

Choosing Mvuvi Resort for our stay in Zanzibar was the best choice for us, which made our vacation so memorable and comfortable. First of all, Mvuvi is so peaceful and quiet. Secondly, The staff is super helpful, kind, friendly and professional. Special thanks to Rosie who helped us in a lot of ways and was always friendly. Thirdly, the rooms were kept sparkling clean. And the last but not least, the food was scrumptious. We enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners there.

While our stay at Mvuvi Boutique Resort was enjoyable, we found that both the lunch and dinner menus became repetitive after a few days. This can be somewhat limiting for guests who prefer variety in their dining options. However, it's worth noting that there are other hotels and restaurants nearby where guests can explore different cuisines.

I had a delightful breakfast experience at Mvuvi. The fruit platter was a standout, featuring a refreshing mix of mango, pineapple, and watermelon. Hardly when you put your feet on the beach, no possible to walk peacefully because all Masai come to you to sell stuff. It’s was annoying even if the hotel is not responsible for that. One person of the staff members at breakfast was really unpleasant and made some errors with orders.

Great welcome by Grace, great food and 2 locations with both pools and sea front. They also organized a lovely table for my engagement in front of the beach which I really thanks them for it. Location is quite peaceful for those whom are looking for a place to destress. Location is amazing with gardens, terrace with sea view, really intimate. Staff members are very attentive. Thanks for this wonderful stay.

I wish it was more things to do at the property, but it is a boutique hotel so you can’t expect too much.

I was right at the beach. Security was on the property at all times. The staff was amazing, Grace was so helpful in booking my excursions. My flight home wasn’t until night time and Grace was kind enough to let me stay in a different room free of charge until it was time to go. If it wasn’t for Grace and the staff, my trip wouldn’t have turned out as great as it did.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mvuvi! The hotel is fabulously located on Kiwengwa Beach which is a quieter location but is beautiful. The team at the hotel were so lovely and attentive. We had a few electrical issues with our room, but they were absolutely on top of it and were able to move us to another room that was perfect. They were so helpful when organising excursions and being around to answer any questions. The hotel has such a family feel and was exactly what we were looking for for our holiday. The food at both restaurants is also delicious and uses so many local ingredients. Mvuvi/The Beach Lounge made for one of the best beach holidays we've had.

We stayed at the annex of the Mvuvi which is 100 metres south of the main buildings, still on the beach of course. We were a bit concerned when they took us there on arrival that it would not match the good comments from the main hotel. We need not have worried: the family room was brand new, cleverly arranged, very well built and finished, with two levels of stunning views on the Indian Ocean. There is a beautiful pool, shaded areas, and the whole hotel is an extension of the gorgeous beach in front. Talking about the beach, we had read about people feeling harassed by the various vendors but did not find it a problem. The beach was clean, the tides were not an issue, nor was the very limited seaweed (August). We had partially selected the hotel based on good comments about the meals, and the food did not disappoint. Kudos to the chefs. And finally the owners and staff, all excellent and who made this a great stay. Thank you everyone!
