I had an incredible stay at Blue Reef! The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the gym area was fantastic, allowing me to get some great workouts in during my stay. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and offered excellent recommendations for tours and activities. I also felt completely safe throughout my visit, which meant a lot as a solo female traveler. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely come back!

Perfect spot in Jambiani with beautiful views of the ocean. The staff is very friendly, helpful and communicates very well. They offer activities with their own boat which is a huge bonus and we can totally recommend it. The activities are also not what everyone else offers which is a refreshing and totally different experience. Will not stay anywhere else in Jambiani

Perhaps a more comfortable seat in the loft, but hey we are very much seniors.

The staff was friendly and in good mood. Always attentive. The beach was kept clean, which seemed to be part of the 'clean village project', which is actively supported by Blue Reef. We had breakfast and dinner. We have chosen the healthy variety, which was good and rife in fruit. Dinner was excellent. From the concise menu we enjoyed the yellow tuna steak from freshly caught fish by staff (as can be expected in a 'fishing' lodge). We were very pleased by the huge beach that appeared at low tide.

Beautiful location (and quiet in Jambiani), the bungalows are hidden in the greenery! Private yet overlooking the sea. The staff are very welcoming and friendly! Definitely recommended!

This is a fantastic location in Jambiani, right on the beach and in proximity to so many other things. The staff was very friendly and responsive, always available to help us with anything we needed. We also loved their excursions, particularly going out on the wooden sailboat and going snorkeling - what a wonderful find! And their sister site has the best wood fired pizzas - highly recommended!

The location is amazing, the bed is more then comfortable, the outside are is so great to relax that I almost settled roots, and the stuff is so friendly and nice, that it feels like a little second family 😊

The room could offer more storage - especially when it's super humid, it can be tricky for your luggage.

The team at the Blue Reef is EXCEPTIONAL and goes beyond to make your stay special and answer all questions. We made friends and felt truly at home. The location of the lodge at the beach is the best - although we wandered and checked out other locations we always deferred back to our spot which is amazing. Another huge call-out for all the food options (no matter if Blue Reef 1 or 2 with their Pizzas) and the cocktails - everything is absolutely delicious and amazing. Our time to leave was really tough and we felt super welcome throughout the stay - big thank you to everybody, we already miss it so much!

I would suggest if you are staying in the bungalows-walk down the beach to the dive shop/ lodge location asap. You can book your excursions there to avoid confusion. I would suggest drinking water be replaced ( refilled)in room everyday , staff should wear name tags,

Great location right on the beach, loved the bungalow, the three owners were on site and extremely helpful booking excursions, we caught a fish and the cook served it for our dinner and included guests ( it was a 30 lb Wahoo), staff friendly and always smiling, great pizza in fire oven,

There were some power blackouts (of course not their fault) where a generator would be helpful. I think the breakfast is ok but could be improved with more mix and match options and variety of juices.

We had a wonderful time at Blue Reef. The owners and staff are super accomodating and helpful. The daybed was the place to be for us and staff served us cocktails :) The apartment was spotless and spacious. I like the cleaning concept a lot - as the guest decides when cleaning is wanted. This saves human resources and is sustainable. The food was great (especially everything seafood and pizza). The organization of daytours (diving & Prison Island) was quick and easy.

I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Reef. The location of the bungalows was perfect and boasted breathtaking views of the ocean. The food and drinks served were delicious. All the staff, especially Juma and Paulo, were very welcoming and accommodating.

Room could be better cleaned, but overall a pretty decent experience to spend time in the amazing Jambiani beach.

Staff was very friendly, despite the location being wrong compared to what we have in Booking. There are two places, the Sports Lodges and the Bungalows, where in the first you get the gym, bar and restaurants and in the bungalows you get a smaller bar, pizza only restaurants and the bungalows. You can use both facilities for free, but maybe something that could be highlighted better.

I honestly think that the price per night is too high for the quality of the establishment. The rooms are very simple, it's super hot because there is no air-conditioning, the water in the showers is salty and the beach chairs are usually not very clean. Wifi was ok in the shared area but not great in the rooms. We also did a bit of laundry and it cost quite a bit. The laundry that was returned 2 days later but was still somewhat wet and smelled bad.

The location is great and it's near a lot of local places. The staff was friendly and the bungalow side was cozy. The pizzas were amazing and we heard their other food was great too.

The wifi which was included in my booking was barely working in the main areas and not working at all in my room. The pictures marketed of the property are misleading if you ask me as they are not the same as per the property in reality.

The people were really nice and welcoming, Wilimina, Paolo, Emmanuel, Thomas and Nikky were really helpful.
