How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good location, 5-10 minute walk to Taipei Main station. Helpful staff, free washing machine (laundromats with driers are nearby), I would stay again.

The room was very cold & didn’t have a heater, but they provided a quilt to keep us comfortable.
The property was in great location, so convenient to Taiwan Main Station.

Wifi problems. I tried explaining to the auntie and uncle on different days but since they have a hard time speaking english, we just ended up using our own cellular data

- Air condition may be a little bit loud (I use ear plugs, so for me it was fine) - whenever you leave the hotel, you are asked to leave the key at the reception. It could be useful, but it should be an option (and not mandatory)
- Great location, close to the Zhongshan metro stop, which allows you to visit easily other parts of the city. In the area there are also shopping mall and restaurants. The train station (both local and high speed) is either walking distance (10min) or one metro stop away. - Room is good size (for one person), you get two bottle of water per day, and the room is cleaned daily if requested (which is not common in Taiwan). - Reception personnel is nice and do speak English

Construction noise. The equipment is getting old The aircond doesn't warm
Efficient and friendly staff. The location between 2 metro line hub. Lot of restaurants, shopping around. 10 min walk to the train station

It's very convenient to buy food.there's a family mart. And very near to Taipei main station .
The man staff at night is very generous. Anyways I'm so very disappointed when I come inside the room and check the toilet . The toilet bowl had pee and no flash . For the girl staff in the morning shes not nice. I ask her to help me call taxi but she told me to find taxi outside .

No insulation from street noise. Staff kept asking me to leave room key at desk when I went out - I'm not about to give them the only access to my belongings, nor do I want them tracking my comings and goings as a solo female traveler.

The room had only a small opaque window in the bathroom, which was separated from the room by a partially opaque glass wall. People who have visual impairment might find the room too dim for reading. Although the room itself was spotless, and the bathroom was clean overall, the shower had a lot of mildew.
This hotel is located on a charming street running parallel to Zhong Shan. There are lots of small restaurants and shops around it. It is easy to reach via the underground mall from the Airport MRT. As advertised, the room had a fridge and kettle. The staff are very friendly and will keep luggage for you before or after your stay. The hotel was quiet day and night.

The facilities like door, bed and light in the room were a bit old. I could see there is some reform in the room like bath room or floor. But not all of them were reformed, some part were still old and not that high quality.
The best part is of course its location. The staff were also pretty friendly and provide good service like luggage deposit.

They also rent rooms by the hour but it is not blatant and I did not notice any sign of it as a guest.
Nice room at a good location. Not all staff speaks English well but what they lack in language, they make up for in smile and kindness.

Facilities are old.
Good location, family mart and sihai dou jiang next to it. Opposite is one of the mrt exit. Convenient for exploring and shopping around Zhongshan area.
