How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewOur room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff was very helpful, spoke English well, and even arranged our transport to the bus station when we left. We appreciated the tasty breakfast with different options to choose from. In the evenings, you can take advantage of the free shuttle to Kenting Night Market. The accommodation is also within walking distance of a small beach and a youBike dock, perfect for exploring the area.

Exceptionally poor value you for money. Attitude of lady on reception,in person and via wattsapp message,very poor customer service skills and terrible attitude,had no desire to solve my problems,suggest owners read the text messages. No wine glasses or any glasses in room,no bottle opener/corkscrew,no t spoons or tea:coffee.No room information,no instructions for TV,all set in Chinese,even housekeeping couldn’t understand it and had to call for support to resolve.At the price charged for room Netix etc should be provided on hotel account free of charge as per cheaper hotels in Taiwan.Sound quality on TV very poor.Coffee machine only takes mineral water so the water bottles provided are used in the coffee machine. Coffee machine broken lid,reported on arrival no fixed 4 days later.floor and wall damaged around/in front of TV.No toiletries provided for luxury bath only screwed to wall in shower.Restaurant closed in evening only room service menu available and only until 7pm,very limited poor selection on menu.Breakfast poor,buffet one day,set menu the next due to lack of guests.Requested owners contact details twice to complain directly as lady on reception was so negative but reception refused to provide me with the owners details and told me to email the reception lady who was failing to resolve my problems on a daily basis.Arrived with the assurance of a shuttle bus meeting me at station for transfer to hotel,did not arrive until 30 mins later and after several texts and calls.be warned there are no restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Due to closed restaurant and poor room menu had to go to Kenting to get food as I wanted to go only 1 hour before the start of the free daily shuttle service I was charged 100TWD per KM by hotel shuttle bus when I specifically requested a taxi.No flexibility from reception,although the day before Danial was very flexible and helpful.

Verified reviewThe hotel room was very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. Hotel staff made our stay very easy - they were great about answering questions, providing recommendations and organizing taxis/tours. We did not rent a car because it was our first time visiting the area, and therefore we were concerned that we would have a difficult time visiting slightly more remote sights like the Kenting Forest Recreation Area and western peninsula. That was not the case - the hotel helped coordinate taxi drop off and pick-up so we could still explore areas on our own. The shuttle to Kenting in the evenings is an additional plus. Our stay was very relaxing, and we felt very well taken care of.
All in all, we had no complaints!

There is no elevator and no room at the ground level. It’s a drawback for elderly people.

They put lots of effort in the main design, and its beautiful but the practical aspect was forgotten a bit... The room was full with unnecessary things and no space to open a luggage... A curtain or glass for the shower not to go everywhere... And as many places we visited in Taiwan the details are forgotten... Not well maintained, with little broken things in the room.... Cleaning can be improved...
