Breakfast is ok but limited as in almost everyplace in Taiwan: you have toast, eggs and coffee.

The staff is very nice , even though the don’t speak English. Well located in Itha Thao. There is no elevator to the rooms.

I checked before booking and property assure us that they will assist with bringing up our luggage to our rooms which were located on 2nd and 3rd floor. We had to carry the luggage ourselves when we checked in. We had 3 elders more than 75 years with us. There is no lift in this property.

I liked everything about this accommodation. The staff was very nice and super helpful. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was very clean and nice. The location is amazing with a beautiful view. I enjoyed my evenings on the balcony. I highly recommend this place!

Had trouble connecting to wifi and the host helped us resolve. We found the wifi would drop from time to time

We enjoyed the hospitality of the afternoon/evening host and the hostess during the morning. Both were extremely kind and helpful, making us feel welcome and taken care of. When visiting a place such as Sun Moon lake staying in a hotel that is smaller and has a personal touch was just what we were looking for. Breakfast was always ready for us in the morning and at the start of the day our hostess gave lots of useful information about getting around Ito Tau. The night before we left, our host arranged a driver for us to get to the Shuishe bus terminal the next morning as we were leaving early. This was much appreciated. In the morning when we left, it was pouring rain. Our hostess gave me a collapsable umbrella and told me to take it. Her kindness is greatly appreciated and I made use of that umbrella on several more occasions during the rest of our trip. Perfect hosts and would definitely stay at the Deer Hotel again

You can hear some noise if people are coming up the stairs but we were not bothered by any other excess noise and the listing mentions this so seems fair.No breakfast but plenty of options close by.

A clean spacious room with excellent bathroom. Looked renovated recently. Best shower we have had in Taiwan - stall with door, good hot water, bathroom had hooks for towels etc, shelves/places to put things. Small balcony on our third floor room with small views. Close to busy streets and board walks along lake but quiet.

Breakfast is very small, a simple sandwich or pastry omelet plus a drink, not enough to start a day. Luckily three of us booked a 6 person room, so we can have 6sets of breakfast, it was enough for us.

Sometimes noisy from local construction

The staff were super nice and helpful, they helped us find local things to do and eat. They were so accommodating and helped us so much! We liked the rooms a lot and found them very relaxing after a long day. It is right next to the trail that takes you to the cable car up to the Formosa cultural village, it's also just around the corner from local street food. It's not too far away from the pier to take you across the lake. There are many bike shops in the area too that will rent to visitors so you can see many of the local attractions!
