The rooms were lovely and rustic, right near the water and the breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We have had this issue a few times in Taiwan: the bed is perfectly big enough but the duvet is too small for two people. We find we are fighting for the covers during the night!

The location was great, just 5 minutes walking from Yuchi Township. The room was quaint and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The receptionist was also very helpful in organising bike rental for us.

I just wish there was an actual door/wall to separate the bathroom from the rest of the room. A mere curtain doesn't cut it. Also, walls between rooms are very thin, we could hear people in the neighbooring room distinctly.

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance from the center/bus stop. Staff is super helpful and smily, they helped us understand how to navigate around Sun Moon Lake, what to see. They also let us leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out. The room was clean, well-maintained, and quite lovely with its super-wide windows overlooking greenery.

Minor stuff: there's no good sound proofing, so the quietness depends on the other guests. One guest was super loud the first day so I couldn't relax. Plus, the bed is short, and the blanket wasn't warm enough (there was A/C though). Overall, great stay

I was going to score the place a bit higher but the walls are paper thin there and for me earplugs offered did nothing. We were in the middle room so we could hear everything from both bedrooms — from snoring, to chats, to YouTube videos being watched. People in our house didn’t respect the quiet hours, so we were forced to wake up with them at 6. Let’s say it wasn’t the most relaxing.

The beds are massive and quite comfortable. The staff was super helpful and kind. The location is perfect — just on the side of the village center. It’s much more quiet yet walking distance from everything you may need (busy stops, food, konbini, bike rentals, boat piers etc.) The bathrooms were nice though a bit cold as they are in a kind of outside sheltered area. It only bothered us slightly on the first night though as it has been quite chilly. The overall vibe is quite nice and almost resorty. Great value for money. There’s a breakfast included. Nothing crazy, but it was quite tasty — some toast, fruit, and steamed veg plus drinks. The offered vegetarian options too Last plus for the cats.

I wouldn't go to the recommended hotpot place the staff told me about. First time I've ever been charged for service in Asia (it was pretty poor service too), have to pay for dipping sauces, small portions.

Tasty breakfast, playful cats, comfy beds. Helpful staff with information. Can get discount for a bike rental nearby and buy boat tickets. They also recommend restaurants nearby

On the second night, even though we didn’t see them beforehand, I woke up with 20 mosquito bites… of course not the property’s fault but good for people to be aware of and spray some repellent 😊

The property had a super cozy vibe, with very kind staff, and good breakfast. The beds in the bunk bed room were a lot bigger than expected!

Really love the gardenlike area where the private rooms are located and how they are divided between cottagelike buildings. And there are lots of cute friendly cats wandering around there. Bed is big and comfy and the place is neatly clean. The young woman in the reception was so friendly and happy it was a pleasure, and we could lend books from the reception. It is a short walk away for lots of eating options, bike hire places and the lakeside walkway, and an amazing temple is almost across the street. Superb!

I expected to see the broader view of a lake as in the photo, but it was pretty covered by trees and some buildings. It was a bit inconvenient as a family walked from the bus station with big luggages to the hostel, but it would be fine for backpackers or youngers.

The room was nice and well decorated in Japanese style. Quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was nice, served from 8:30-9:30. Staff was friendly.
