Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanMaybe they used to allow people to smoke there, but there is still that cigarette smell lingering there with each breath. The floor was dusty in certain areas of the room. And the door seemed a little loose even when locked.
The room was unbelievably spacious for its price and the window view was quite good during the night.

FranceThe room wasn't very clean, the appliances were very old and noisy in the case of the electrical devices, the bedsheets and the thrash weren't changed a single time during my stay of six nights and, worse of all in my opinion, they were cockroaches in the sink and bathroom area.
The room was really big in size, there were huge windows and a balcony, the bed was also really big and quite comfy, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the price was relatively cheap and the location was great, very convenient and in close proximity to the MTR.

MalaysiaWe didn't like the bed because it was 2 single bed. So have a gap in the middle. The wifi very poor even thought we already on the TV. And the room not so clean. We stay for a week and ask them to clean. They just make up the bed & change the towel. Didn't clean the room at all. So kind of dirty some parts. The corridor smell very bad and dirty.
The location was good. Nearby got 7E, family mart, and many restaurants too. The room was spacious and got netflix to watch. I like the bathtub.

PhilippinesWe booked two rooms during our visit to Taiwan in the summer. Despite setting the AC to its maximum, the rooms did not cool adequately, making it possible to sleep without a blanket. While this might be an isolated incident, it specifically affected one of the rooms we booked—my parents' room. They had consistent issues with the bed moving easily and the AC not being cold enough.
Although the hotel's location was far from the main attractions, it was conveniently near the MRT (a 5-10 minute walk) and had a 7-11, grocery store, Yoshinoya, and Family Mart across the street. Additionally, McDonald's, Moss Burger, and KFC were within walking distance if you are willing to walk a bit further. Depending on the room you get, it can be quite spacious for two people, with the toilet and shower being separate, which is convenient, especially when you need to catch a tour. The hotel is accessible via the MRT, but you need to decide whether to spend less on the hotel and travel longer to tourist spots or pay more for a pricier hotel with shorter travel times. Travel fares were generally inexpensive. Most trips to tourist attractions in the Ximending area cost around 20-25 NTD. The only exceptions were trips to Beitou or Taipei Zoo, which cost about 60 NTD per person.

Netherlands- The floor in our hotel room had not been cleaned properly. One part was even sticky. Shame, because if they would fix this, their overall rating would be much higher. I could have asked the staff to clean, but we were away most of the time anyway and I feel this should have been done beforehand. - There were one or two cockroaches, but if you're afraid of cockroaches, you shouldn't travel to Taiwan.
- The room was huge and the amount of space in the bathroom is more than enough. - There are several closets, tables and chairs so you can also sit somewhere during the day and store away clothes. - The beds were lovely and comfy. - We had a beautiful view of Taipei from our room. - The shower was excellent. - There are several convenience stores (Family Mart, 7/11) really close by and a great breakfast cafe just across the street with really friendly staff (it's the street with the 7/11 on the corner).

SingaporeThe only thing that i dont really feel good is that at night there's some uncles will go in the lift toward the hotel (the lift is shared in the building) , if you are a girl remember not to press your room floor first if the guy not pressing the floor he going to then go to level 10 ( the hotel frontdesk) first. Im saying this is because i got to this incident...i got verbal harassment by one of the guy when i going up to my hotel room. So i went to level 10 first , the front desk lady was very good enough and follow me up to my hotel room. If you are a solo travel (girl) like me kindly take note.
The location and everything was really very awesome ! The room and toilet was big . The best things was the bathtub and the shower was different!!

SingaporeThe hotel is located between 10-12F. The lower stories are karoke. Hence, there is a strong smoking smell as well as you will see a lot of different kinds of people coming in, bringing ladies... so feels a bit unsafe/awkward for us, especially when we have young kids with us. Hotel rooms doesn't provide a lot of tv options, such as cartoon network... hence I can only use youtube to entertain my kids..
Location of the hotel is very central, Good food around the hotel. Room design looks a bit old with wooden furniture (chairs/wardrobe/doors) looks old design, but if you don't mind all these, the room is very big, which was what i like.

Czech RepublicThere was some dust and I had to specifically ask for the floors to be swept (when I only asked for cleaning, they would not do that). Other than that, I was very satisfied.
The locality is not in the center, but it is really close to the MRT station, and there are also many buses heading to the Taipei Main Station, so it was pretty convenient. The staff was always helpful.
