Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeNo toothbrush and toothpaste provided. Need to do quite some walking to nearest mall or public transport.
Good breakfast, big and clean room, free parking (really love Taipei’s easy eTag system where you just need to tell concierge the car plate number once). It is not easy to find a big room with two queen beds that is of such 5-star standard to fit my family. I am so glad I have decided to stay 8 nights for the whole of my Taipei trip!

South AfricaOne of my favourite hotels that I’ve stayed at. My wife and I loved the large rooms, comfortable settings and lovely amenities. The staff were all very friendly and professional which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel is chic but at the same time also very homey. The free snacks and drinks in the mini bar were a wonderful touch. The hotel breakfasts were fantastic and had great variety and were high quality. We also enjoyed the calm neighborhood, which is also complimented by a number of world class restaurants and some lovely eateries. There’s also a lovely Ferris wheel in the neighborhood where you can get some breathtaking views of the city. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure it’s not my last visit.

SingaporeThe immediate location doesn't have much popular tourist sites, so to visit the typical night markets you would have to travel out about 15 minutes away. However, that is not much of an issue if you just book a taxi or drive out.
The entire hotel was excellent. It really exceeded my expectations. I think I can safely say this is the best hotel I've been to - Everything was exceptional from the first point of entering the lobby, to the service staff, to the huge room and breakfast. Would love to return one day if possible!

SingaporeThe hot spring place on level 4 only allows 16+, should be able to bring younger kids. It's better to include some of the level 4 Italian restaurant menu items into the in-room dining menu.
An excellent hotel, new rooms and new facilities, very nice breakfast and buffet. The Italian restaurant on level 4 has one of the best pizzas we've tried outside Italy. And there is a very new kids playroom next to the Italian restaurant, so the kids can also play there while waiting for the pizza.

United StatesBreakfast seemed great, but I missed some basic western breakfast items. Also, they started cleaning up breakfast very early so don't go after 9am (which kind of ruined the nice breakfast). Hotel often used for parties, which is loud. Although you can't hear it in the rooms.
Very friendly staff who go above and beyond. Nice rooms with good amenities. Spa was nice.

AustraliaI'm not sure why we got knocks on the door at 855am and 920am consecutively over two days when we had the 'do not disturb' light on- we were really tired! I understand that the rooms need cleaning, but surely you can wait

NicaraguaI was worried about the Check in time which is 4pm, while the industry standard is 3pm, but i liked that you can request early checkin free of charge (upon availability), in this case we were able to checkin around 2pm which was good. Check out time is at 11am, when the industry standard is 12pm and requesting a late check out is more difficult to get it
The rooms are big, super quite, breakfast was delicious, bathroom was ver comfortable, toilet was also comfortable, really nice luxury hotel with great value for money, i also loved the temperature controlled swimming pool which is also baby friendly (my baby loves to play in swimming pools), also the baby play-room is big and my baby liked it a lot, spent two hours inside and i was super happy to see my baby playing there and seeing his smile and happiness all the time

New ZealandThere was one waitstaff at the Palette (the hotel buffet) during breakfast services that came across as unfriendly - we didn't communicate with her but her demeanour and facial expression made it seem like she didn't want to be there. This stood out to me as the rest of the staff we came across were courteous and friendly.
This was our second stay at the hotel and it exceeded our expectations. From the responsive communications before our arrival, to the well-appointed, clean rooms and all the friendly and helpful staff we came in contact with, the whole experience was unforgettable and we look forward to returning. We found the beds and pillows incredibly comfortable to sleep on. The location is a short commute from the more lively suburbs/CBD, which suited us as we preferred staying in a slightly quieter area.
