This was one of our favorite stays in Taiwan! The owners were kind and friendly (Google translate was helpful), the rooms were clean and well equipped. That hearty breakfast was also memorable and one of the best ones I’ve had! I still think about it! bonus: a block away from the lake! Would love to stay here again!

This was a great stay with a really nice family. We were a small group so they gave us an extra set of keys. The room was clean and decent size. The breakfast was also nice and filling. The location was perfect in the center of the village.

I loved everything!!

Everything. You stay with a Taiwanese family that will take care of every detail while giving you all the privacy you need. They invited me the most delicious oolong bubble tea from my whole trip. If I was there while they were eating the’d always ask if I wanted to join. Again, with elegance and without being pushy. The lend me an umbrella, etc, etc. They don’t speak good English but who cares! We communicated well anyway. The place is extremely clean and comfortable, and the location perfect. I rented an electric bike and went to all the temples. That was magic too. Breakfasts are huge, healthy and home-made.

There were kids staying in the house and they made a lot of noise. I e also had the room above the kitchen, so early in the morning we had a lot of noise again.

Hosts were really kind, really nice. They make local breakfast in the morning. Rooms are big and comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, clean decent sized room with all the facilities you need and a filling, tasty breakfast every morning. This is a wonderful spot to stay to visit the lake. Close to everything you need.

The room's windows could be a bit more bright. The shower room was a bit small, but this is a minor issue.

The atmosphere was very nice, feels like having a stay with a relative. Clean facilities. The staff was helpful even though they don't speak English and when we were having problems with paying by credit card. Breakfast was excellent, especially the rice cake.

Two minor remarks. The shower is not a dedicated zone, something you often see. We are no fan of it as everything is wet in bathroom for a shorter amount of time. The bed is not too long which might be less convenient if you are over 1.95

It is a homestay, very clean! Family room is spacious. Though it is just a homestay, but the owner keep the place very clean, owner was very helpful with our luggage since the building has no.lift. The hot breakfast (porridge, fried vege, ommelete, nuggets,etc)is a big plus point, it was cooked by the owner, though simple but was a good start for the day. Location is very good, very near to lake.

The shower gets a little wet, but it's very clean. There are bike rentals nearby but Fyi, do not rent a bike to cycle round island here. Very dangerous as you are cycling next to the cars and lots of uphill. Go Shiushe to rent if b you wanna cycle

Very very friendly owners who keeps the place clean and pretty. They will recommend you things to do or eat around the area (which is close to the shopping areas, but away from the noise.) Wish we had more time there. Homemade breakfast was delicious. No stairs, but boss helped us carry our big luggage up the stairs. Thank you!

The place is extremely clean which made our stay very comfortable. Good bath and good sleep. We, a group of 8 appreciated the host, Mr Xie for bringing us to watch fire flies. The breakfast was prepared fresh and hot. Location is within short walking distance to shops and places of interest. We encountered some mechanical issues with our rental vehicle and Mrs Xie was very kind to search for help and made arrangements with petrol kiosk staff to assist us when we arrived there. Thank you.

We had a great stay at the Sun Moon Lake Dream House. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly and really made us feel relaxed as soon as we arrived. They also organised a taxi for us when we needed it. The breakfast was huge with plenty of variety and catered for vegetarians. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect, central but slightly away from the main street. We would definitely recommend Sun Moon Lake Dream House.
