Very impressed! Homey vibe and breakfast is very hotel-like. It didn’t feel like I was travelling. It’s nice to have met nice people.

Great place to stay, highly recommend! it's very neat, the relaxing area is very cosy and perfect to just chill, the staff does its best to help and make the experience worthwhile (weekly activities like making bobas) and comfortable. the breakfast is good. its location is ideal if you wanna explore the ximending area, and the rest such as taipei 101 and museums are easily accessible. i loved it :)

Location, decor, open public space!

my room was next to the female dorm and the doors opening and closing was quite loud.

very spacious immaculately clean staff very nice and helpful great facility with many choices to lounge around

pillow was too bulky not comfortable for people with neck issues people seemed to come in the middle of the night and early hours so wasn't that quiet too much walking just to get to an mrt in Taipei station breakfast only Chinese style no international so I avoided the oily pork bun for breakfast coffee nothing special only sugary instant a bit too expensive for what you get and utilize for a short night social vibe was strange a whole lounge full of people with heads buried in their phones

Super convenient - right next to Taipei main station. The common areas were beautifully designed, comfortable and had lots of natural light. Free breakfast was delicious and the dorms were clean and comfortable. One of the better hostels I’ve stayed at for sure!

There was limited space in the female dorms to put larger sized luggage. The aircon also didn’t fully reach the beds at the end of the room

Everything - very clean bathrooms & bedrooms. Wonderful lounge area. Great breakfast. This is my favourite hostel ever.

Very nice breakfast, clean room

Stayed here two times during my travels in Taiwan. Truly exceptionally good hostel with a very very nice breakfast. Perfect!

The international recognition this hostel has attained is well deserved. All aspects of our stay were well attended to. One element to note in particular was the helpfulness and professionalism of staff at reception

Seems a little pricey for the facilities offered and the limited breakfast. Great idea to offer (and insist on) house slippers, but they’re quite ugly. 😂

The location was great very, close to convenient stores. Night markets were 10-15 minutes walking distance.

The bunk beds looked clean but after my wife woke up at the top bed, she got several bites on her leg which indicates bed frames were not cleaned. I would not recommend the rooms with bunk beds!

I like the facility what you see is what you get. The staff are so accomodating. The room are clean and the comfort room as well. I felt so safe and comfortable during my stay. I booked the 6 mixed room. If there is a chance to come back in Taiwan, I will book again in Star Hostel. Very accessible near the taipei main station. Thank you Star Hostel Good Job!

The breakfast is not ready when I wake up at 6am. I thought the breakfast will be served at 6 AM. I dont know if you are the one who will prepare the breakfast or the staff. Sad i was able to avail my 3 days free breakfast. I'm sad because I paid for it.

I like how friendly the staff there and they will always keep the area clean especially toilet. The breakfast also very nice and the portion consider just nice for me. I also love the public areas for everyone to chill. It is super cozy.

For me since I sleep on the upper bed so the aircon might be not so cold for me.🥲
