Great place to stay, highly recommend! it's very neat, the relaxing area is very cosy and perfect to just chill, the staff does its best to help and make the experience worthwhile (weekly activities like making bobas) and comfortable. the breakfast is good. its location is ideal if you wanna explore the ximending area, and the rest such as taipei 101 and museums are easily accessible. i loved it :)

pillow was too bulky not comfortable for people with neck issues people seemed to come in the middle of the night and early hours so wasn't that quiet too much walking just to get to an mrt in Taipei station breakfast only Chinese style no international so I avoided the oily pork bun for breakfast coffee nothing special only sugary instant a bit too expensive for what you get and utilize for a short night social vibe was strange a whole lounge full of people with heads buried in their phones

There was limited space in the female dorms to put larger sized luggage. The aircon also didn’t fully reach the beds at the end of the room

Super convenient - right next to Taipei main station. The common areas were beautifully designed, comfortable and had lots of natural light. Free breakfast was delicious and the dorms were clean and comfortable. One of the better hostels I’ve stayed at for sure!

Seems a little pricey for the facilities offered and the limited breakfast. Great idea to offer (and insist on) house slippers, but they’re quite ugly. 😂

The breakfast is not ready when I wake up at 6am. I thought the breakfast will be served at 6 AM. I dont know if you are the one who will prepare the breakfast or the staff. Sad i was able to avail my 3 days free breakfast. I'm sad because I paid for it.

I like the facility what you see is what you get. The staff are so accomodating. The room are clean and the comfort room as well. I felt so safe and comfortable during my stay. I booked the 6 mixed room. If there is a chance to come back in Taiwan, I will book again in Star Hostel. Very accessible near the taipei main station. Thank you Star Hostel Good Job!

For me since I sleep on the upper bed so the aircon might be not so cold for me.🥲

I like how friendly the staff there and they will always keep the area clean especially toilet. The breakfast also very nice and the portion consider just nice for me. I also love the public areas for everyone to chill. It is super cozy.

The hostel is located on an old street, and on one pre-rainy day, we experienced a sudden outbreak of cockroaches on the street, coming from the ceiling and the underground pipes. Fortunately, the hostel itself felt like a clean and safe space where we could take shelter comfortably.

I travelled with colleagues and would highly recommend this hostel. It offers a variety of room types to suit different needs—some of us stayed in single rooms, others in doubles or dorms, with both shared and private bathrooms available. I appreciated the flexibility in room options. We were all quite satisfied, and the common areas were well-designed, allowing each group to find their own comfortable space to gather.

The bed was a bit too firm but manageable.

The breakfasts were delicious and changed day to day. I enjoyed the crisp, white aesthetic of the linens. The female dorm had clean bathrooms and showers and readily available towels. There was a lot of space in the common areas for guests to use.

I wish they gave more info about the laundry and washing machine. Because I had to climb the stairs back and forth because I didnt have the laundry detergent and had to go down again because I didnt have enough coins. It's quite an exercise

I really love the vibe and facilities there. What I love the most is I can still relax at the common area even if I've already checked out (check out at 11 am, my flight was that night at 7 pm). They are so welcoming ☺️
