Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesShower took a while to regulate in terms of getting the temperature and water pressure right. Our bathroom lighting fixture also fell during our stay but staff was quick enough to drop by and fix it. Our room didnt have much of a view but thats fine. Amenities weren't a lot as well. There were no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or grooming kits available but then there were about 4 convenient stores surrounding the immediate area (3 family mart, one 711). There's also a Watson's and a Japanese cosmetic store nearby.
This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel and our room this time seems bigger than the last with a wider workspace area which is amazing. Bed is big enough for 2 people to share comfortably. Staff were friendly and accommodating even for non native speakers. What's great about the hotel is its proximity to the Shuang Lian MRT (Red line) which is about a leisurely 5 min walk. Neighborhood is such a vibe as well. Community market opens up on weekends, cozy community restaurants serving Italian, Japanese, and local cuisines are littered around the area. Beside the hotel is a ramen place we frequent called Tori San. Walk a few blocks up north and you end up in the posh side of town with a Louis Vuitton stand alone store beside a five star hotel with a luxurious mall beneath it (Hermes, Loro Piana, Chanel, Etro, Issey Miyake, etc.). Do check out the local eatery and restaurant nearby like Noodle Bar for tasty Sichuan-inspired dry noodles, and 8% Ice for excellent craft coffee, healthy lunches, and hands-down one of the best nougat scallion crackers in Taipei (they're better than Cha Te and almost comparable to the fresh ones made in Jiufen). 2nd time around and we haven't explored everything yet. We're definitely booking the hotel again next year!

United StatesBring noise ear plugs, right across from Hospital so ambulances all night long. They provide free snacks but the snacks are all the same thing and you’d have to be desperate to eat them more than once. It’s a perk you won’t use. Also, they have a high sided claw tub in the bathroom, if you have mobility issues with your legs/knees this is not a good option for you.
Bed was super comfortable, great curtains to keep the room dark for sleeping. Lots of local and chain restaurants nearby (KFC, McDonald’s), and an excellent boba tea shop. Within a block of metro station.

Czech RepublicVery clean and nice accomodation. Not balcony, but I really appreciated outside seating in the back of the hotel - if you are smoker, there is not much possibilities in hotels in Taipei, so this is good option for you. Otherwise it is very hotel-wise, not really cosy, but if you don’t mind that type of the accomodation, it will be ok for you.

United StatesThe room was fine, didn't love that the TV blocked the window and the windows were a bit grimy. The bathroom drain spat water when showering so everything was wet all the time.
Great location, very near to transit and a cool shopping district. Despite being next to a hospital, it was quiet. The staff were nice and there were free snacks in the lobby.

LithuaniaWe found many mosquitos in the room and at night they bit me many times, although the window could not be opened. Also, the window had this pattern and it was impossible to see the view outside - very strange.
The location of the hotel is great, the staff is friendly, there is snacks and coffee for free at the lobby. The rooms were OK to sleep in.

SingaporeOnly 1 washer and dryer. But hotel staff did explain it was a service for guests’ convenience as the nearest laundromat is about 10 mins walk. They are not charging a high price for it. I appreciate it nevertheless.
Location, many food stalls and a morning market, Shuanglian MRT, all within short walking distance! Staff were helpful and patient, room was clean.

United StatesThere was no window but I knew it before I booked.
I liked everything! The location was great, the value for money, and the staff are all professionals and polite. The lobby offers free snacks, tea, and coffee. There’s also a complimentary washer and dryer, with only a 100 NT charge for detergent. Since we left early, we needed a car service, and the price was reasonable.

United StatesWe came to visit Taipei for the first time and this hotel was great. Had everything we would need for our stay. Filter water downstairs with hot, warm and cold water. Tons of coffee options as well as tons of free snacks. The beds were comfortable, everything was really clean. The only thing that was a con was that the shower situation was a bit interesting. They had a claw foot bathtub to shower in but water would get everywhere even with the shower curtains provided. Otherwise though, we had a great stay and even used their airport shuttle to get back.

United KingdomLack of storage space was a problem as nowhere to put clothing apart from one or two hangers. When staying for the length of time we did it meant we had to live out of our suitcase. The bathroom was a little awkward as the shower wet everything on the floor (drainage only went out from the bath).
Hotel was central and convenient. Rooms were adequate, clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful at all times. There was free coffee and nibbles in reception. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone
