Service, food, wine selection were great! The facility overall is great, with very sleek design and super comfortable. We stayed in the more “basic” room, but still had a spacious indoor barn inside the room, with a large ceiling window bringing in lots of lights late into the evening. Staff members are all very attentive and helpful. Service was flawless, no waiting whatsoever (not to take for granted in many hotels of comparable price range in other parts of the world). The shared onsen was nice, with multiple baths and different temperatures to choose from inside and outside, along with staff guidance. We took a massage as well, which was a perfect addition to our stay during the passing of a major typhoon. The food was the best part of the experience. We loved our stay in Villa 32.

Luxury spa/hot spring experience. In room tub/hot spring experience. Extensively stocked complimentary n refillable minibar. Great concierge service,all very attentive n super helpful, helped take pictures patiently when requested :) . Spa / hot spring attendents were checking water temperature extensively. Iced evian water in spa was so refreshing after the hot spring pools. The 2 types of mineral pools plus ice plunge n jacuzzi really awesome.

It’s quite expensive, but you get what you pay for!! The hotel only has 6 rooms so it has incredible attention to detail.

We had dinner there 2 nights and the menu was the same. It would have been nice to have more variety.

Breakfast was delicious and a lot of food. We ordered one western breakfast and one Japanese style breakfast and there was way too much food. We always brought some home. The whole environment was so peaceful and it was the perfect place to relax and work through some jet lag. We enjoyed the spa - the hot springs and a massage. I was a little concerned about not having more amenities - swimming pool or gym, but once I arrived, I really appreciated that it was so peaceful and I spent a lot of time reading and enjoying the view and the lounges.

Villa 32 is a very special place. Peaceful setting, attentive staff, beautiful hot springs, exquisite food, the list goes on. I spent a weekend here to 'reset' after a busy time and returned home completely refreshed. A special thanks to Susan and the team at reception who took the time to help me find some edible souvenirs in Beitou on my final day.

The price was definitely much higher than some of the other surrounding high end reports near by. However, I think based on the pictures you are getting a bigger room, hot springs are probably much less crowded and service is much more personal.

This is a beautiful facility located in Beitou. There are only 5 rooms, we stayed in the Jade room which featured a comfortable bedroom, living room and large bathroom with a big bath tub. The staff were extremely attentive and courteous with 1st class service. We only stayed there one night but we were able to use their top notch hot springs facillity before and after check in. This was great while we were waiting for our evening flight from Tao Yuan Airport. Breakfast was also included.

Nothing. It's pretty pricey to stay the night, but for us and our purposes (honeymoon), it was well worth the cost. We would love to come back for another stay.

Amazing experience. The hot springs were incredibly luxurious, clean, and relaxing. We had just come back from hiking, and it was the perfect thing to help us relax both physically and mentally. Our room was immaculate and generously sized, with a private hot springs tub with the white sulfur water. Customer service was excellent; they even gave us a nice welcome cake given the fact that it was our honeymoon! Front desk employees speak great English as well, as my husband does not speak Chinese.

The food was a little underwhelming; we had dinner at "The Restaurant" however the food was not as good as we expected (the menu felt a little dated and wasn't outstanding). The breakfast spread had a good selection of food but the quality of the good was not the best either (i.e. eggs were bland, croissant was a little soggy).

Great staff and service -- very accommodating and helped out with special requests; loved the indoor hot spring tub and natural lighting in the room. Great for a one-night getaway as there wasn't much to explore around the area but the room itself was great.

Sometimes the hot spring was not that hot. Somehow the hot spring sometimes in white & other time clear.

The breakfast was more than expected. Staff were helpful and polite. Gave us little treats & fruits everyday. Location was ok, not right next to the XinBeitou MRT. Most of the time we took a taxi to Beitou MRT, cost $85-95.

The only odd thing we encountered: staff said we could not read our books in the courtyard in the afternoon (there are outdoor sofas) because those areas were considered "restaurant furniture. We had a lunch reservation elsewhere and so weren't interested in food. The response seemed odd and conflicted with what the front desk upstairs told us. It's possible language was a factor, though my friend speaks fluent Mandarin (as well as English). There was no problem accessing the lobby and hot springs after check-out.

This hotel is a knockout: one of the best I've stayed in anywhere in the world. Courteous, discreet service and incredible shared hot springs downstairs. We stayed in a Japanese-style room that also had an outdoor Hinoki tub with hot spring water, which was fabulous. The beds -- they were so plush I'm not sure you can really can them futons, though they were on tatami -- were heavenly. The dinner was tasty and a nice amenity to be able to stay on-site all evening after check-in for a truly rejuvenating experience. Guests can access the hot springs before check-in and after check-out, so even a one-night stay still feels like a true getaway.

We stayed in the biggest room but there was no window for natural air. After in-room hot spring soaking, the smell kept lingering through the night and we were unable to sleep well. Had to turn on the air exchange the whole day to make it better, not perfect. I requested to add ginger to my breakfast juice but the reception staff gave loads of reason not to offer. End up piece of cake to the restaurant. Hot spring for men is nice, but dark for the women. Expecting it would be quiet but there were many outside guests booking for the hot spring and spa.

The hotel is in need of a refurbishment. The room felt very dated and there were several elements of the room that either damaged or broken. I felt the rate charged was not justified given the condition of not just the room but the lobby and restaurant which were also very tired, this left me feeling a little ripped off.
