How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The luggage service which there was not any given it is a 5 star hotel.
The room was very comfortable, quiet, and the amenities were great eg mattress pillows etc.

The bathtub is a bit dangerous for elder to enter as the wall of the tub is tall and thick. Besides, we can hear the draining sounds of other floors at night. Also, very limited selection for in-hotel dining except set menu.
I like the new and thoughtful facilities in the rooms

Nothing actually.
It is just outside the metro station and we didn't have to walk far. The hotspring tub inside the room and the shared pools were good. They also have some activities that guests can join for free.

It was very minor, but very occasionally there were very noticeable water/plumbing sounds coming from the drain in the hot spring in the room

The slippers provided were potentially a bit small for western feet
Fantastic to have in room hot springs. Perfect location being right opposite Xinbeitou MRT station. Innovative in room amenities such as isotonic drinks, and notable consideration of sustainability by having communal water fountains instead of providing plastic bottles. Fantastic breakfast options.

The service was phenomenal. At check-in, we were greeted, offered herbal tea, and asked to sit down while checking in. I speak a little Mandarin and the check-in manager very kindly humored me by speaking with me in that language, then seamlessly transitioning into excellent English when he knew my husband would benefit from hearing what he was saying and/or that the directions might be complicated for me to understand. He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us detailed suggestions on things to do and where to have lunch, then gave us a map where he wrote down notes on how to get to the places he suggested. Another front-of-house employee showed us to our room and explained all its features as well as how to use the en suite hot spring bath and the the hotel communal hot springs facilities. We really enjoyed our hot spring bath, and loved exploring the area, which was all walk-able from the hotel. The room was very modern and had interesting features such as a table that nested under a counter until it was swung out into the room when needed. They also provided great drinks and snacks in the room, already included in the room rate. Breakfast was good, though we were a little confused by the format of being able to order and also going to the buffet. Overall, we loved this hotel and Xinbeitou, and it easily was the most relaxing part of our trip.

1. One of our rooms had a blocked pipe which they apologized for 2. The bed was a little hard
1. Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms. 2. Great facilities 3. Friendly staffs going thru the extra mile (they packed our breakfasts when we left for the airport at 6am even tho we had only put in the request at 9pm the night before)

The price is too expensive for one night on 30 Dec, close to SGD 1000 as compared to other hotels..
Excellent service from check-in and check out.. Staff were observant and considerate. They even prepared breakfast for take away when we checked out super early in the morning. Thumbs up for the service. Love the details in the room like freshly made chocolate and freshly picked mint leaves for tea. Keep up the good work
