The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed—it felt like staying in a castle! The double bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. One of the floors offers a complimentary tea service (free cup of tea), and you can also purchase tea there. However, the tea they sell is slightly more expensive than what you’ll find at the market just a 3-minute walk away. The location is fantastic, very close to the market. We stayed on the 8th floor with a breathtaking mountain view—absolutely stunning! The staff was super friendly!!

They checked us in when we arrived early. They said cash only. We asked for a receipt but they told us they would give it to us when we check out. I think they should've given us the receipt when we paid the money... don't you think?

We arrived early in the day, and they let us park our car while we went out for sightseeing. The hotel is in the walking distance from the lake. The room was elaborately decorated in Victorian style and very clean. We had everything we needed to be comfortable.

It would be great if there was a restaurant in the hotel (breakfast/dinner), and many restaurants nearby close early. So need to anticipate for early dinner.

The decoration is definitely not for everyone. It would have great to have been able to pay by card too.

Clean, and comfy place, which was fine for a couple of nights. We appreciated the baby cot and heater too. Well located five minutes walk from Idashao Port.

The staff were very welcoming and took time to explain the room cards, when to use them for the entry door, and local facilities. The rooms are very clean and the beds large and comfortable. Will look to use this hotel.again if visiting Sun Moon Lake.

The room is big and clean. Friendly reception staff. Location is near the shopping area and pier. Highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Sun Moon Lake for its value for money room rate. You will not be disappointed. Hotel has very nice decorations. It is exactly as per photos.

The staff were amazing. Always kind and go out of their way to help you and make sure you enjoy your stay. The beds are comfortable, shower is great and location is back from the Main Street so there is limited street noise.

Nothing negative. The hotel is a little further away from the lake, but by no means far.

Beautifully presented hotel – they really push the "royal" theme with the furnishings, and it's a delight to take photos inside the building. Very helpful staff, Room was very comfortable. Breakfast (you have two choices) was quite large and we couldn't finish it.

Would have loved it if there was a gym!

I loved the interiors.. beautiful and not tacky like how some European styled rooms tend to be. Breakfast has healthy food presented beautifully.. Jamie was very hospitable to us, thank u! Free parking also available for guests 😄 The streets at this ferry stop are now bustling with so many stalls selling delicious street food compared to 9 years ago when we stayed, when there was almost nothing open at that time
