Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt was better than I expected, the location inside the big street with lots of local restaurants and shops. They also have luggage services where you can leave your luggage there after you check out or before you check in as well. pretty good.

United KingdomRoom had no storage beyond 3 cost hangers - no drawers or shelves or any wardrobe at all so only option was to keep all my clothes in suitcase - badly designed space - mirrors everywhere, where there easily could have been a few shelves. Not sure if all rooms are the same.
Love the location - especially as it's so near to the main train station, which made arriving and leaving much easier. My room on the 9th floor had a great view looking down on the city. laundry facilities worked well - washer and drier (coin operated in basement) were fast and efficient.

CanadaYou might be able to hear your neighbors if there’s company next to you that’s super loud, but it’s manageable.
The staff were super helpful! One of them showed up extra early because I had a very early check-in. The place is clean, bed is comfortable and it’s nice that they give you vouchers for free drinks at their other locations. Also close to a lot of the sightseeing places.

MoldovaThe room is very small, it was good for me alone, but it would be difficult for two people.
The hotel is well located, near the train station, metro, shopping center, many cafes. Clean, good wifi, comfortable and modern shower and toilet.

SingaporeA little small but overall value for money, nothing much to complain about.
Well situated next to taipei main station (interchange station) and taoyuan airport line (about 7 mins walk at street level) and 10+ mins walk to Beimen , Ximending etc. - very conveniently located Hotel room is small quite sufficient for solo travellers and had windows. Might be a little too squeezy for a pair of travellers.

SingaporeNo in house restaurant, dark corridor & not enough space for hanging clothes & no hook / hanger in toilet which is essential for long stay. For a single stay in a double room that consider just nice, so the price is not competitive.
The receptionists are helpful & friendly particularly in night shift. No daily room cleaning but provided new towels daily on request. Room with window & toilet are good, location to public transportation is walking distance. Although no restaurant but a pantry of hot drinks machine & microwave are provided.

AustraliaGreat location, we were within walking distance to everything! Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Facilities were excellent, with a little cafe space for guests to chill out downstairs. This was useful as the room sizes were on the small side and there was no desk chair available to sit at. The common areas and room are very clean!

Hong Kong1. A bit pricey for this size of room 2. If you come from the underground street, you need to climb the stairs, no elevator/ escalator accessible. It may be a concern for those with big bags.
1. Near Taipei Train station and Airport metro (The airport line is just straight walk across the road) 2. Near a night market, with lots of eateries nearby 3. The female receptionist is very friendly

United KingdomIt could be a bit noisy at night for light sleepers and the hotel could do a bit more to improve the privacy of the hotel rooms.
It’s very close to Taipei Main Station, so it’s very convenient for travel to different places for sightseeing by trains or metro or buses. Hotel staffs are very polite and helpful, hotel room is clean.

CanadaThere is no stand for luggage, nor a chair to sit on, probably due to a lack of space for an additional piece of furniture. My luggage is small hence not an issue to unpack and pack by laying it on the floor.
The room is clean and quiet. The shower area is big and the shower pressure is strong. Great location close to Taipei Main Station.

SingaporeQuite near to train station - there is an opening to the station's underground mall just 2 minutes walk away. However the walk through the underground mall to the station takes about 5 minutes. From the airport MRT station it takes about 7-10 mins with luggage and you have to walk above ground. Several nice eateries in the mall and around the hotel. Convenience store downstairs too. Hotel has a pantry downstairs with a machine that makes coffee, hot chocolate, latte etc. Filtered water via a machine also available downstairs. There is also a small common area where people can eat but it's accessible by stairs only. Pantry is also accessible by stairs only. Stayed in a 2-person bunk bed room. It's very small, enough space for 2 mid-sized luggage. There is a TV for each bed. Powerpoint is beside each bed. Toilet is ok, shampoo and body soap provided. Towels provided. Water pressure and water temperature are great. Bed is comfortable. 2 pillows provided. 4 hangers provided only. We requested for more hangers. It'd be better if there is a hook on the wall in the toilet to hang clothes from. Generally comfortable to stay in, I slept well.

CanadaThe room was tiny. Basically the room walls were wrapped around the bed, with some space left over by the foot area so that you could walk to the bathroom. I 100% expected this though based on my research of Taipei hotel rooms, but it's still rather inconvenient.
The location was great. We walked to Ximending (the touristy shopping area for young people). Lots of places for breakfast around the hotel too! The elevators were quick and we never needed to wait long. The room air conditioner and TV were great. The staff were exceptional, spoke perfect English, and were super courteous -- plus points for smiling all the time! Also, I loved the free coffee (it's hidden in a back room but make sure you check it out)!!!
