Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanWe did not come across anything we disliked although the room wasn’t as spacious as what it seemed on the web.
Nothing fancy about the breakfast. It was very fresh and clean though. Burger, boiled egg, milk pudding, banana and self-served drinks.

VietnamThe quiet environment is good for me as it’s not that close to the night market. The staffs are friendly. There’s a cat and a dog (also friendly). You can feed the goats in the afternoon. The breakfast is good and nutritious.

BelgiumWe stayed there 5 nights which might be unusual and longer than the average customer, so the belows points won't affect most the customers I suppose. A swimming pool would have been a great option for this hotel, it would fit perfectly the place and the hot weather. I am a light sleeper so I wake up easily if I hear noise. The windows are not doubled glazed and so the sound insulation is poor, one night there was some animal which made noise near to our bedroom so it was difficult for me to sleep. The hotel is in a tropical zone with a lot of nature all arround so of course there is a wide range of wild animals all arround :) The bed are made of wood and so it's creaking when turning around. It didn't affect my family tough, only me. The breakfast is fine for a 1-2 days stay, but could be more varied for a longer stay.
The people who work there are very nice and kind. Because we arrived there by taxi, we had no personnal car, they offered us to drive us to places nearby, like the night market, the national park or the beach, which was very kind and unexpected. The whole place is huge and offer a quite place to rest, there is a beautiful view on the mountains, the outside appearance of the hotel looks like an Italian hotel, it's charming. The bedrooms we chosen in the Chateau were spacious and we felt at ease there. They offer a free good quality coffee and cookies every afternoon. The situation is great also because it's near the nightmarket (20 minutes by foot, we did that a few times) and near all the main places by car (arround 5-10 minutes). The breakfast is typical taiwanese, they offer you to eat it the dedicated place or in your room, if so they will hang it on a hook right to your door which is nice and handy. You can choose different drinks. The breakfast is typical taiwanese which mainly or hamburger with eggs or sandwiches with eggs, it comes with fruit, a hard-boiled egg and some desert which looked like a Panna Cotta.

NetherlandsThe only minor thing was that we had to throw the toilet paper in an open bin. You were not allowed to flush it. But that was just a minor thing.
The location was fantastic. It was nice and quiet en beautiful. It was in between bigger places. But the owners would bring us and or pick is op . And there was a bus every half hour The bathroom was amazing .. The people are very friendly and helpful .

BelizeThe breakfast is simple, nothing special there. I would appreciate if it was served hot.
Great place to stay. Perfect location away from the the main Street and at the same time not too far. The mornings are quiet and relaxing. The staff is super friendly and willing to help. The rooms are clean and the design gives the feeling of being away from modern life. I’ll definitely come back.

SingaporeThe breakfast had friendly service. Be careful because within a kilometre of each other you have My Chateau and Chateau Beach Resort. I was attempting to go to the latter and booked Chateau by mistake, Luckily I was able to get the My Chateau people to shorten my booking.com four nights to one night so I experienced the wacky interesting My Chateau with goats and four poster beds and then moved to the beach. The staff at My Chateau were very supportive, helping me with booking of high speed rail tickets and more.

TaiwanI was planning to choose a place to stay that is a little bit distant from the main street for quiet and serene surrounding. However, this is not what I have expected. All three nights I’ve stayed here, there was a dog barking non-stop, made me wake up three-four times every night and it was very hard to fall asleep after. The barking was very loud and there was no one to go and handle the situation. The second disappointment is, I also have chosen this place because of the bathtub it offered, but the “hot” water wasn’t hot at all, just barely warm, so the bathtub was a waste. In addition, parking lot had a lot of rain water and I soaked my feet every time I got off and in the car. I suggest to choose another place as this one only looks good on pictures.
