Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeExact location is not really easy to find as the lift is hidden beside the Patagonia outdoor shop, no obvious signboard/ signage. The ceiling of the shower room have a huge layer accumulated dust which I was afraid it might fall onto me while showering. A little fungi smell in the shower room but it is still very bearable. For this price, one really cant ask much.
Usually dorms do not offer double bed but this do. Spacious dorm, blasting nice aircon, with little aromatic smell within the room (and I like it very much). A very clean and quiet hostel. Surprisingly there is still simple breakfast offered to guest despite of low price. Location is pretty near to Cosmos Hotel. M3/M5 exit are also near this inn. A good stayover before I transit to another state in Taiwan.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast is nothing to write home about, no kitchen facilities to speak of. Mostly a hostel for transit, not much of a social atmosphere.
The location is the main selling point, as it is so close to the train station and easy to go into the city. Stayed there three times during my time in Taiwan, also because they offered luggage storage for a reasonable price. The double beds are spacious and have a curtain for privacy. Friendly staff.

Hong Kong- the mattress was too soft for my personal preference - Stools or benches to be available for (un)packing or putting shoes on in the locker area
- Located close to the main station - Biggest bunk bed ever had in a hostel - Breakfast included - Clean and well-managed - Efficient staff

Very near Taipei Station, can exit from M3 or M7 and it's a short walk to miniinn. The room was just nice for 3 adults, basic amenities were there. They also provide a simple breakfast (bread and spread). Generally, a cozy place.

CanadaThe young male staff member at the front desk has no hospitality skills whatsoever. He was cold and very condescending. He talks to you as if you’re a child. Also the lobby/eating area has a strange smell probably because it’s too close to the lavatory.
The rooms are clean and modern and a good layout for groups on a budget and who want to stay in the same room. The location is also really convenient and easy to get to the main attractions from here.

United StatesI had a few .nights there and one night had 2 people with serious snoring issues. One morning a dorm mate took 3 calls between 545 and 630 AM. I finally snapped and yelled at him.
The hostel is steps away from maim train station. Easy access to many modes of transport. The.breakfast was good. I would have preferred whole wheat bread as an option.

TaiwanThere was a strange and creepy guy kept on entering our room because we shared the same toilet with the room 301, i am room 302. The problem is he is not using the toilet but just standing at the corner and watching the people in their beds, sometimes sitting on an empty bed, i dont know what his motive is, but just have to be careful of your personal things. The worst part is he is wearing a mask and cap, he entered and exit the room more than 10times i believe and i already told the front desk personnel when i checked out of the hotel but i dont know what action did they take to address it.
Breakfast is nice, just the options are few

United StatesSometimes I heard others in the room next to me late at night.
Very affordable, the facilities were clean, staff were pleasant. and the location to Taipei Main station made my trip more enjoyable. From the train station exit M7, it was within feet to the hotel. I also liked that there were food establishments less than 5 minutes away.

United StatesTo be honest everything was perfect! Just one little thing that doesn’t take away from the experience. Although the showers had great hot water, the sinks only offered cold water. I came in winter, so after walking around in the cold, some hot water to wash my hands and face would’ve been nice.
One of the most comfortable hostels I’ve stayed at. The bed and perosnal area are quite big. Though I’m petite, I think two people would fit quite comfortably. The breakfast was regular, nothing extraordinary, yet the Taiwanese style eggs were so good. The staff were friendly and attentive. The showers are so nice, hot water and great pressure! Very clean and quiet. The location is perfect! It’s right outside exit M7 of Taipei Main Station.

SwitzerlandThe bedsheet did not keep firmly to the mattress I was sleeping on. There was also no variety to the breakfast items served every day.
Location was excellent, very close to the Taipei Train Station and it's connections to the MRT, HSR and bus connections. Close to decent food options.
