Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe stairs are very narrow to fit your feet, I think this might be an architectual feature of the time the place was built, so watch your steps. The place, I think, need so slight renovations in parker flooring and paint. The round atmosphere pendant light did not work
Very attentive stuff, came late at night and all the instruction were clear and easy for self check in. Took the single room, tiny but well organized, clean and easy to work with. Comfy bed. The area is lovely and close to the trasitional market in dinhua street. Great value

SingaporeIt would be great if using sun block curtain or window blinds as the room is too bright for resting. Providing a table for placing luggage would be great too.
Love the design of the room and white bedsheets.

SingaporeEarly check out at 11.
Amazing room in an old building close to everything with so much charm! We could enjoy Dihua Street nearby and walked all the way south to see Taipei. There are cool bars in containers by the river, little shops, many great restaurants, and easy access to MRT or buses! The bed is super comfy, and the bathroom with the bath was great. The room is small but well organised, with a kettle and a water bottle, small desk and coffee table. The style and deco of this hotel is delicate and gorgeous, well representing Taipei and its culture. Staff were nice. There is a kitchen downstairs too with a dining table. We enjoyed the balcony and the view of old Taipei from it.

We had the most comfortable stay. The room was quiet and clean, and there was more than enough space for two. There was also a large couch in the room to relax on. The staff were more than happy to assist with any queries we they went above and beyond. The location was exceptional, within walking distance to numerous markets, train stations, and attractions.

AustraliaThe narrow stairs up to the rooms is not ideal for guests with multiple heavy luggages. The room also smelled musty with the lack of ventilation. It did not bother us too much, but worth noting.
Beautiful room! The space was simple, modern and cosy. Love the attention to detail in decor, both in the rooms and in the common area. Self check-in and check-out was easy, and the location was great too. Overall a really charming place. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

AustraliaRoom was tiny. I really didn't want to damage the rating of this place because there was a great deal to appreciate there. However we would not stay again because there just wasn't enough space for a couple approaching old age. I think the place gets high ratings from young backpackers and perhaps others under 50 and that is well deserved in that context. But think twice if you need to spread out and not trip over your luggage.
Not expensive. Friendly management and prompt, helpful communication. Free clothes washing service: very unusual and extremely welcome. Reasonable location. Not close but not too far to metro. Clean.

SingaporeAs this is an old building-turned boutique hotel, be very prepared ( mentally especially physically) for the killer flight of steps up, esp if you are booking the most picturesque roof unit #402, carrying huge and heavy luggage bags. No lift, good luck.
location is superb, just a stone throw away from the old quarters dihua street 迪化街/大稻埕 and near the very happening 宁夏夜市(ning xiao night market) . Helpful and friendly hosts Ivy and Pei, who sent us clear and detailed check-in instructions.

Hong KongMaybe can get a little noisy if cars drive pass but not many since its a small street.
The room was impecable! So bright and nice simple design, very comfy. And to our surprise the hotel offered free laundry service and they help to take care of your clothes nicely while you are out. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Bed is not too soft, and 2 pillows each to choose from which is nice (comfy bed makes a big difference), also a big beanbag which even though we experienced the earthquake it wasnt too scary lol.

Hong KongThe building is an old one but taken care of with much love and care. Not much storage in the room, pack light for the best experience.
Room at top floor (smaller one) had a really good vibe, the towels are better than some 4 or 5 star hotel. Very clean, comfortable, clever but not overly designed, stayed for one night only and felt very cocooned and lovely.
