There are not enough words to describe our wonderful stay at Mei Jin. Beautiful, welcoming, genuine, and personal service from beginning to end. love everything there! the owners are a daughter/mum team. they are so warm and caring. really feels like coming home every time we go back after our sightseeing here and there. they prepared lotsa snacks/tea/coffee/fruits/etc at a common area on the ground floor. the room has plenty of hooks and hangers to air sweaty clothes or towels after shower. everywhere in the house feels homey and clean.

Power points were poorly placed in the room. Need a couple of power points next to the bed.

The directions on maps and the booking.com website led us to the wrong side of the building. However the owner did send specific instructions in a separate email/message.

Property was clean and well maintained. Amenities were new and the common areas were well stocked with snacks and refreshments. The view from the terrace was quite nice as well. The queen bedrooms were had also had views of the water. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. We got rained on while biking right before we were going to catch a bus (after we checked out). The host gave us towels, slippers and a place to change clothes. She was very accommodating.

The lights from an adjacent parking space shine into the rooms at night, and I can't understand why there is a 5 cm gap at the bottom of the room door.

It's easy to understand why they have a good rating. They actually care about their guests. And for the price, I think this is a very nice option.

Everything was top!

Everything was exciting! Lovely terrace with a view Delicious and freshly prepared breakfast, although we have been too late once and to early once, because of bus leaving to Alishan. No problem for Joyce and her mother. Water dispenser for fresh water, free of charge. Small snacks free of charge. Laundry machine (not used by us) Very clean and confortable rooms Top and central location, 5 minutes by foot to the wharf. And last but not least: Joyce and her mother helped us with everything and had a lot of tips, in perfect English. Perfect stay and 100%ly recommended. We stayed 2 nights.

Perfect location within 4’ walk from the bus stop, clean and spacious room, good breakfast, very welcoming and attentive hosts! There’s a laundry machine / drier so you have everything you need! On the departure day, we were also provided a breakfast a bit earlier to catch our bus. That was so sweet! Highly recommend!

Location is near the bus station for buses from Taichong. Just about 5min walk only. So very convenient. It is cosy and the room has the modern contemporary deco. Also it is near Shiishe pier to take the ferry for sightseeing around Sun Moon Lake. Love the little common corner for beverages and snacks. The staff brought us to the pier to watch sunset at 5am! That was so sweet of her. If you want the sightseeing ferry tickets, you can buy from them to save u time queueing and also at a good price.

Staff was amazing, helpful, and extremely friendly! They also have an adorable cat! Room was super clean and spacious. Great location, and it's right next to the bus stops. Good variety of free snacks, and beverages included with your stay.. Highly recommend this place. And shout-out to their furry friend Puma the cat.

Wonderful Homestay, the owners are extremely friendly the moment you walk through the door and able to offer and advise on trips etc. Lovely big modern room on top floor 601 with view of lake. Comfy big bed and powerful shower with plenty of hot water Common area and Terrace to admire the view. Water machine and fridge on each floor and there are snacks, coffee, tea etc available to guests for free. 10/10

Modern and clean room with comfortable beds and good size bathroom. There’s even a snack corner c/w beverages and oats. Service was with a personal touch. They answered my queries b4 I checked in n after I checked out, Joyce even followed up with a wats app that I hv got onto the bus to Alishan. The mother and daughter is superb.

We had an excellent stay. The service was superb! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The mother daughter duo were kind, friendly and helpful. Anytime we have a question they were ready to help and provide precise information so we didn’t have any issue at all. Looking forward to stay at Mei Jen again soon.

Very good location, the room was big and had everything I needed. It's possible to do laundry and there are even free snacks for the guests. The woman working at the front desk was so friendly and kind, this place really deserves the 10/10 rating!

Perfect stay, next to the main bus stop, very friendly and English-speaking hosts, spacious room, good shower, and comfy beds. The host recommended a great place to rent good bicycles for making the loop around the lake. There were also free goodies, like snacks, sodas, fruits, and tea in the common area.

I really liked my time at Mei Jen House. Not only was the hotel itself really cute and homey, but the two ladies working there (especially the young lady at the front) were exceptional!! She helped me whenever she could and was just really sweet. The room was beautiful and the small balcony a nice touch. The location was perfect as well. It were the little details that made the stay really special (free snacks, free postcards that you could send and a cute chunky ginger cat!). Thanks again for everything!
