Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United States.
The location is situated right above the MRT making it easy to explore the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist us. They helped us find and make reservations for restaurants and tours around Taiwan, which made our trip even more enjoyable. A large gym with a lap pool to meet our fitness needs. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei.

United StatesThere was nothing that I did not like. It was the perfect stay for me. I just wish all my hotel stays were like this one.
The breakfast was an unexpected surprise! They had three options from which to choose......a Western option, an Asian option, and a healthier option. In true Asia fashion the presentation was beautiful, with such attention to detail; plus the food was enjoyable. You could also enjoy free coffee, tea and snacks all day in reception. As for the room I've become a fan of the Japanese toilet and loved the rain shower head. The room itself was modern and very clean. The staff were amazing, helping every step of the way....and each day my room was cleaned and very welcoming after a long day in the city. The hotel's proximity to the metro was also a big plus. If you travel from the airport to the hotel by metro once you get to the station for the LaCle leave by Exit 1. Once you're street side look straight ahead and you'll see the hotel on the left hand side of the street. It's a tall building with LaCle signage on the side of it. If you get out at Exit 2 go up the escalator exit and turn right. At the first intersection make a right and the hotel is partway down the road on the left hand side. Either exit is close. Once you get to the hotel the entrance is not obvious. You'll think reception is through the glass doors, but that's the Thai restaurant. The entrance is actually two wooden doors to the left of those glass doors. From there you take the elevator to reception on the 3rd floor. Also at the Exit 2 of the metro station is a mall that has a lot of restaurants on the upper floors. I found an Italian restaurant that I really liked. And as a bonus I found a place for great foot massages down the street from the hotel. As you exit the hotel turn left and walk down the street for several blocks. On the left hand side you'll eventually come upon it. One of the best foot massages I've had.......40 minutes for 600 Taiwanese dollars. So the hotel and the location worked out perfect for me.

Use of sports facilities including a 30C 25M swimming pool, sauna, gym etc. The location was a bit out of the centre but as we were staying for some days, this did not matter. Breakfasts were excellent and the staff most helpful.

SwitzerlandExcellent breakfast. Three set menus that rotate. Nice communal space. Free coffee machine 24-hours. Rooms are smaller, but very adequate and clean. The MTR and bus stop is right outside the hotel or a 5 min walk. The Beverly Club around the corner is a great gym facility and excellent value in which guests also have access. Finally, I had bad heartburn in the middle of the night and went to 7-Eleven and Family Mart only to find out they don't sell antacid. However, when I returned to the hotel and asked the desk clerk, he provided some! Very kind staff.

Wow! We stayed at various hotels during our trip to Asia and this was the utmost best out of all of them!! Fantastic sized room, all amenities as expected, small private balcony, amazing bed! Bathroom was of a very good size and staff were professional yet friendly. The breakfasts were also amazing and the free tea / coffee / snacks throughout the rest of the day, along with a 'lounge' type area and outside terrace made our stay feel rather luxurious!
