First room carpet had stains and not been cleaned, bit of dust and musty smell, over all hotel probably needs a renovation looking a little worn after our first trip 10 yrs ago, but good location and good value

Staff helped us change room as first was dirty and musty, not in good condition, second room no musty smell and in better condition, staff were good about it, get rooms 01 or 02 higher up for good view of river and surrounding area

There is no heater in the room, and it is outdated, and soundproof should be better.

The lake view and water pressure are great, and the breakfast buffet is superb, The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very retro, i.e. not renovated. I even had a computer with a diskret drive in my room! Unfortunately it didn't work, but you can't expect everything to be perfect at this price level. It was the first hotel where I've gotten complementary (unused) condoms, and to add the room came with a security chain if I found the condoms too dodgy.

We had a nice stay, and I would stay again, but I have some comments that might be viewed negatively by others. We stayed in one of the 'view suites' on the 6th floor. Unfortunately the hotel has billboard signs on a neighboring building at the height of the 6th floor, so I think you will prefer being 7th floor or above if you want to see the river without obstruction. The hotel itself is somewhat dated and our room had some lightly peeling wallpaper and noticeable rust on the bathroom door. It was perfectly clean though. The breakfast was a small buffet, and we were satisfied with it, but given this is Taipei I think I prefer plenty of breakfast places around the city. There is a small parking area below the hotel if you are in a car, and its <10 min walk from the MRT if not.

The breakfast options were a little limited. It's mostly Asian options and all western options are fried food. They did have excellent coffee though!

The view from my room was stunning! The hotel is across the river from the Xindian MRT station. It's about a 750m walk across the bridge to the station. There is a 7-11 and a dumpling restaurant very close to the hotel.

Room fittings were a bit outdated, and the TV didn't work very well. The picture was quite distorted. The room had a nice view, but it was unfortunately obstructed by a sign board.

The shower was spacious. Good location, a short walk across the bridge from the MRT station. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable bed. Close to food establishments and the boating area.

Old or aged facilities. Distance (10mins walking) from Xindian MRT station and crossing Bitan wooden bridge (rather difficult with large baggage’s).

Room with lake view. Reasonable selection of local (Taiwanese) & simple western breakfast. Self-service laundry (washer & dryer) with complimentary detergent is available without charge.
