Reviews of Lake B&B

The room and the bathroom are very spacious, with a really comfortable bed. We had an amazing breakfast, very tasty and different every day . Despite the language barrier, the owner is really nice and extremely helpful, and as a guest you can see that he and the rest of the staff really care about this place. The b&b is aproximately 15 minutes walking from the pier (not a real problem, since you can use the nice lake bikeway). Really worth it!

Spacious room with balcony. Huge comfortable beds. Bathroom with luxurious Japanese-style amenities! Host was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was varied and delicious- a well-rounded meal served hot and fresh. Lake trail entrance just across the street- only 10 minute walk to Shuishe town center along the trail where you can rent bikes, take the ferry, catch busses, eat, shop… Property seemed recently built or renovated- very very clean and well-kept. Beautifully decorated in minimalist style. Excellent stay.

Lake B&B was exceptional. The host couple are so friendly. They provided excellent tips about SunMoon Lake. The breakfasts were tasty. Introducing one to all the local Taiwanese breakfast treats. Served always with a plate a fresh fruit. The rooms are huge with great views to either the lake or forest. We loved sitting on our balcony enjoying our morning tea. The beds are so extremely comfortable and the bathroom pristine. Loved the body wash which smelled divine. Location is brilliant. 10 minutes walk along the waterway to the pier but yet somewhat removed from the bustle of the town. I would love to stay here again

Love this place and all it offers.

The forest-facing room was spacious with an amazing shower! The location is unbeatable, with really easy access onto the boardwalk over the lake. It's a beautiful walk from the B&B into town and it keeps you from having to walk on the busy road. This must be one of the best locations to stay in town!

Property is next to the bike/walk trail of the lake, easy access to the trail. Room is clean and nicely equipped with AC/Heater and free wifi. Breakfast is sizable, tasty and has good varieties of items including seasonable fruits. A bit odd to have fried items in the morning but there are plenty of other options. Interesting parking arrangement - but it's free. It's a 15 minute walk to the business districts where restaurants and 7-11 are located. If you don't want walk, uber is available and when I checked it's around NT$100 one way.

Upon arrival at the property, we were told it was cash only. That wasn't what was stated on booking.com as booking.com stated this property accept credit card payments. I didn't argue and paid with cash but I don't like surprises like this. We also didn't get an invoice for our stay which is a violation of local law I believe. For this reason, I will not stay at this property again nor recommend it to friends/family who visit Taiwan. Sandals in the room seem dated/used and not 100% sure what their cleaning protocol are. So I avoided using them.

The host of the bnb was very helpful and has a great personality. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay there and he gave us many recommendations for things to do around the area and restaurants to eat at. The room was clean and comfortable . The location is very near to the cycling path and with lovely view .

The owner was so friendly, sweet and helpful!

The boss were very nice and kindly offered advise and directions on how to get around the area or get to the specific destination that we are planning to go. He also gave advise on what timing is better for heading out, as it was raining season at sun moon lake. There was also sunrise view right in the room, not the best sun rise view, but it was pretty good. The room that we have gotten is the one with lake view, breakfast is nice too!!

Everything was very clean. Good location. Breakfast tasted good. The highlight for me was the staff, who were very kind, energetic and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. I look forward to returning. 謝謝老闆

We stayed in room 801 which is on top floor facing the mountain. It has the best bathroom design in all the hotels I have stayed. It is very spacious and has a separate heating/ventilation system from the room AC/heating system. That helps to keep bathroom dry and clean. It also helps your washed cloth dry faster. The toilet is a Toto bidet. The room is very spacious and dust free. When we checked in, we found out no wifi signal. Called the owner. He came up quickly to help troubleshooting. As it turned out, the router has a loose connection. The owner told me that he designed the room feature base on his travel experience understanding what a customer really need. The owner's family has been living in Sun Moon Lake for many generations and he really loves his home town. He likes to present the best for his customer. Our room being on top floor., it is very quiet. The breakfast was custom made for us. We don't need the buffet style breakfast. When we check out, the owner offered to drive us to the bus station. Overall, we are extremely happy that we have chosen Lake B&B.
