Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandNothing really. Just be mindful that the room is really small. I had 1 big suitcase and one small and I could only open one at a time. Placing the in the room will leave you enough space just to sit and climb up the bed. But I was aware of those so it wasn't a big deal
The location is great! Right at the MRT Taipei Main Station, find the exit M8 and you will see it right away when you come up. The price is also worth it for what you get. If you just stay for a couple night, I think it's a great option given it's close proxity to pretty much everything.

United StatesThe rooms are super small, but if you book the double bed w the bunk, you can use the upper single bunk for your stuff. If you’ve ever lived out of a camper or pop up Westie van, it’s like that-get your system done and it’s easy to keep things organized and accessible. It’a a room just for sleeping, which is all I needed. If you want to relax, there’s a common space and the rooftop terrace one floor up. That’s where the laundry facilities are as well, and they were easy and convenient to use. It’s not a social property at all, but it is very quiet. There’s no window in the room where I stayed. It’s a clean safe place to stay, and I would stay here again.
The 11th floor rooftop lounge was so amazing! I’d stay here against for that, and the excellent location. The M8 exit from the main station, it goes under the busy street outside the station and is a few steps from the M8 exit. The exits aren’t always well marked, but once you find that route it’s very easy. Look up vs just a street level to find the Inn Cube sign. There’s a bridge down the street that’s a father walk but has a good view od Taipei one. Very easy to get anywhere from here.

JapanThe wall and the door were so thin, I could hear the sound of TV and people chatting. There was a big hole on the wall and exhausting cold air. This was supposed to be AC but the air was very cold and no way to turn off or down.
Very close to Taipei station. I had to get on a midnight bus so I chose here. Staff was there for 24 hours.

United StatesRoom is a little small but at this price range seems par for the course. You want more space you’re gonna pay for it. It’s on tenth floor but there is a fairly reliable elevator.
Location is great! Right next to M8 access point for Taipei Main Station. I initially found the place off putting but it grew on me. I paid for a private bath. It’s old school where the whole bathroom gets soaked during a shower. Decent sized common area.

IsraelThe showers were a little smelly, moldy and not cleaned good enough. They need some maintenance and work.
Stayed for 4 nights and it was really nice. There’s a 24/7 reception which is convenient if you need anything (I arrive at 3 AM and had no problems with checking-in). My single room with upper bed was really tiny (couldn’t open my suitcase and walk around at the same time) but as a solo traveler it was good enough for me. The WiFi was good. Room was clean. Location is very close to the main station, you don’t even have to cross the road, there’s an entrance right next to the hostel. Many stores and cafes nearby (including many 7/11). There’s an elevator. You get a large + small towel, slippers which is great! There’s a mirror inside the room, a TV which was a surprise, good AC. Thank you 🙏🏼

South Korea1) Not very easy to locate at night 2) The room size is minimal. 3) Toilets have less privacy, which can be improved.
This location is near Taipei Main Station bus station, around a 5-minute walk or maybe a little more, as there is no direct cross-over. During the nighttime, it could be a little tricky to locate the building, as in a small hotel location, it is on a higher floor of the building. The room is small, and there is hardly any space to move; however, the bed was okay for one night. Toilets also have little privacy issues, just behind a half-thin curtain. The hotel staff was present when I checked in and was a nice person.

South AfricaNo issues really. The place served us. No windows in our 'cube', but we were there to get out, not look out
-Basic room -Place was clean -They let us keep bicycles(x2) in the front area -Comfortable bed -Room was cool -We were able to arrange with them to leave luggage there (at a fee) while we cycled around the island which was a huge plus -Close to Ximending Night Market

ChinaDefinitely not a 'hostel atmosphere', at least not when I was there. There is a nice rooftop which could be a place for socializing, but I never saw anyone hang out there. I saw a cockroach in the common area one night and, worse yet, a big rat. No bugs or anything in the room itself, thankfully, and the place was clean overall, but rats really aren't something I wanna have to deal with in a hotel.
Very convenient location right next to the main station. Staff was nice and the room was clean and utilities were adequate. Definitely viable if you want a cheap place to stay for a few nights in a decent location.

United StatesThe room is like a dormitory with a bunk, a table and a chair. Only one public restroom and shower on my floor. To store baggage, I need to leave luggage just in the lobby, without any written proofs, like receipts. There are no tourism booklets or posters in the hotel.
The staff was quite considerable to change my room from upstairs to downstairs after he knew I had heavy luggage. The room equipment is basic but the environment is clean. Location is my favorite to be outside Taipei Station. It is continent to take high-speed rail, trains, and subways from here.

TaiwanThere is no AC remote in the room. It was super cold at first, but the staff helped me adjust it from the central control board at their counter.
The room is good value for money. I will recommend it to other friends if they travel to Taipei. The location is right next to M6 exit of Taipei Main Station. 7/11, Family Mart, and Carrefour are just right there. Super convenient.

MalaysiaThe room is super small. If you have 2 luggages like how my friend and I have, normal sized luggage, you can't open to unpack both at the same time. Or else there is no place to walk. The room is not sound proofed and we can hear when the other room is having shower or opening their door in or out. So, when it's quiet at night, it feels like our room door is the one being opened.
The ease of access to the hotel from Taipei Main station. It's literally just next to the station from exit M8. There are eateries around the neighbourhood. 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
