How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was perfect.
Amazing place to stay in Taichung. Is so clean, well located, and the rooms are so big. I even got a free upgrade when I get there. One of my best places that I stayed in Taiwan.

Excellent, simple self check in accommodation. Staff who I met were lovely. Water available on second or third floor. Really central location, night market close by, buses to train station or bus station easily available. Also the best hotel refrigerator I've ever seen. Recommended.

Ocassionally found ants in the room and on the bed. Sound proffing in the room is mediocre. You will be able to hear loud chatter from other guests in their room and in the hallway.
The room looks exactly like the picture and is clean and spacious. Great value for money. The accom is located within walking distance from the nightmarket and surrounded by little cafes and various food options, some open late into the night. Whilst check-in is self serviced, the host provides detailed instruction through Line, making it an easy and seamless process.

A nice, cozy place, conveniently located, with the seafront, night markets and fruit markets being within walking distance. The owner was very responsive, attentive and flexible.

Self check-in . I didn't meet any staff. It is near to the famous night market. 10minutes walk. Water dispenser available.

Room smelled moldy, blankets and pillows did not feel fresh and clean. First floor area filled with smells of urine, possibly caused by the bathroom beeside the kitchen. Water dispenser also looked extremely unhygienic.
Prime location close to night markets and sunrise viewing.

The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. There is mold EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. The floor, walls, ceiling and the 'ventilation system' were covered in mold. When you shower the entire bathroom is damp (there is a little window and ventilation but it definitely does not do enough, hence everything is covered in mold). Really sad because the room itself is really great and comfortable. If the bathroom wasnt covered in mold I would have given the room a 10 star review.
The room itself is really great, modern and beautiful and the owner is nice and helpfull

The room picture on the website are totally different from actual room. The places full of dust and look scary when check in. The toilet smell terrible bad although you close the door the smell still can smell. Not worth paid the price for this. Hope the owner of this places able to clean up.

The location and check in process was difficult and even though we were there at check in time nobody was there to greet us, same as check out. Nobody there if you need anything. Place was not clean, very grimy. Ants and thus, a lizard in the room. TV didn't work. Poor WiFi everywhere. We were told that we could leave our bags for a few hours between check in and out, so we did that and when we came back our bags were just in the front of the cafe that the guesthouse is located, front doors open and our bags were open with our ipad and passports hanging out. We trusted that they would be kept safe once we left them with them, they were not.
Spacious rooms, shower had a decent power to it, had aircon that worked.

Some of the rooms are better than others.
This is a really good place, i stayed here for a while. Everything you need and a great price. Good staff, respectul.
