Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIn my opinion, the daily physical check-in hours should be at least extended to 8:00pm because for travelers, it's not unusual to check in after 7:00 pm.
The property is located in the central area of Taipei city. Night market, Taipei main station and the most popular tourist neighborhood Ximending are all within walk distance. The room is well maintained -- tidy, comfy and quite clean. The bathroom is properly sized and well facilitated. Generally, the experience of 2 nights stay is pleasant.

United StatesThe room is high tech in lightning system and the price is very affordable.
The location and price for the room is great. The facility is undergoing renovation and only allows 3 people for each elevator ride. We had to walk down 11 flights a few times in the narrow staircase which they will have to think about in how to resolve the issue.

PhilippinesThe comfort room has no bidet. There should be bidet for every comfort room to make the hotel tourist friendly. Also the free water is still located at the 6th floor. You still need to take the slow-moving elevator. There should be at least a water dispenser for every floor.
There are free teas.

GermanyThe elevator could only accommodate 3 people at the same time which was a bit of a hassle. The nearby guests were also smoking, and the smell reached our room which could be dangerous for a closed room.
The area where the hotel is located is quiet, with a bus station nearby, and multiple convenience stores/marts. Although it takes a bit of a walk (around 5-10 min), you would find yourself in Taiwan’s Main Station, where the Taiwan Airport MRT is also located. We booked super early and got a great offer, for the price, it was definitely worth it. They clean the room upon asking, and it is a keyless/cardless property.

PhilippinesThe elevator is rather small (can only fit 3), but really it wasn't a big deal. There were guests in the same floor as us and they were rather noisy. We can hear them a lot. It was more of a problem with the other guests rather than the hotel, though. The windows also need some cleaning.
It's very straightforward. We arrived at 4AM and a staff waited for us, which we are very grateful for. You don't need to contact staff to check out. Essential things like Wifi password is provided in the card they give during check-in. We can just get water in the floor where there is an available dispenser. There's cleaning service available as well. What we really liked is that we had a big window in our bedroom and bathroom.

PhilippinesThe room has hint of smell but its not really a bothersome The hotel is a little bit far to most train station mostly 3-4 blocks away, but if you can or know how to commute well you its easy.
The staff is trying to help even if they were not good English speakers. The have a common room where you can heat up your food and free water (hot/cold) Also near to the Taipei Main Station, no need to transfer to other line station. Overall experience is good.

PhilippinesThese are only concerns for future travellers and not really a problem for us. The elevator shaft only caters 3 persons at a time and took time for our family to bring stuff up and down the floors. The mode of communication with the front desk is via Whats App, so if you're not the techy type of person such as our elderlys it would be kind of hard to navigate thru the process. It is not really much of accessible to train station, it's kind of a 10 min walk from the nearest station. But the taxis are always available. We were not able to navigate the bus really well for the hotel is located near a large intersection which has so many bus routes. But over all, we had a good stay :)
The location was very accessible to convenience stores such as family mart and 7/11. There is also a grocery and starbucks nearby. The room was great with the value of money. The staff were accommodating to our needs.

PhilippinesOn the last day the hotel wifi did not work for us. There was also only 1 elevator, that had a limit of 3 people per ride, so sometimes there would be a line to get up the room and back down. Some people might not like that there is only 1 bus stop near for public transport, but I personally did not mind it.
For the price we paid for the rooms, this accommodation was excellent. They provided clean and spacious rooms, with towels, shampoo, soap and water. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. There's also a good beef noodle and dumpling spot across the street. The hotel was 5 mins away from the Ningxia night market. There was a bus stop 8 mins away. I would check in here again if I find myself back in Taipei.
