Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt’s about a 7 minute walk to the station which is honestly not bad at all!! But really nothing! I loved it.
Extremely comfortable and spacious! Simple designs but it’s aesthetic! I particularly liked the flooring pattern. The bed was also SO COMFY. Had an amazing stay here :) btw I stayed at the library room.

Everything... from the no hassle check in, to the room. The room was beautifully done. Spacious, clean and well designed. Easy to reach from the MRT. Really good bathroom. I enjoyed the head shower a bit too much 😅. And the snacks and tea they had provided.

United StatesThere were no windows in the room, which is great for jetlag but rough otherwise. Also, the front desk hours are quite limited (9:30-6:30) and I was out each day during those hours, so I actually never met anyone in my 4 nights there until I checked out (and the woman who checked me out just took my keys and didn’t ask about my stay, offer to help me with a taxi, etc.) It would be great if the front desk had longer hours so we could ask questions. The ledge the bed sits on took some getting used to and made getting out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom a little challenging. But these concerns are all minor and I’d definitely stay again.
The hotel was small (just a few rooms on one floor) but very modern with great amenities. The room was very clean and was spacious, with plenty of room for my suitcase and belongings. The bed was comfortable. Being on the top/11th floor of the building, it was quiet. WiFi worked well and having a dedicated desk and chair really helped with some work I needed to do. I liked the location, which was convenient to various shops, cafes, parks, and the MRT; and I felt very safe there. I didn’t use the laundry but it’s great they have it. The cats were very cute and sweet.

SingaporeNothing! I will be back for it!!
It’s location, just above 7-11 and Poya! Very convenient to go to Zhongshan District and also Taipei station. Also I like their room design, it got various choices! Spacious enough!!! I got no.5 with bathtub! They also provide comfortable indoor slippers (NOT those hotel one), mask, snacks, drinks and water dispenser!! I like their cats! The cat room is well maintained and ventilated! Good 👍🏻 Huazai is so cute and furry, he likes to be close with people.

VietnamNothing to complain.
We stay there 2 nights in total and there arr nothing to complain. The staffs are friendly and helpful, they help us to store our luggage because we booked 2 nights apart. The room design is cute and convenient, the rain shower and the shower gel they provide here is my favorite. Unlike other hotels in Taipei at this price range, the rooms here are spacious and have windows.

South KoreaThe sound proof was a-bit weak.
Very clean, nice cozy hotel with perfect location. Placed in the center of the city but not crowded as Ximending area. Has convenient store and drug store on the first floor, and 10-20min bus ride away from most of the major sightseeing places. Loved the bath tub, and most of all, two lovely cats!

GermanyAt night the house cats are present instead of staff, but that's ok.
The hotel is on the top floor of the building. There is a hostel-like atmosphere without any dormitories. All rooms are different and individually furnished. The catering with free snacks and drinks was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is centrally located for all the sights and there is also untouristy Taipei to discover in the immediate vicinity, traditional old-fashioned breakfast joint No. 28號, Lane 144, Jilin Road around a few corners was a highlight!

BelgiumThere was only one window in the room that could be opened. I thought the aircon needed a bit of a clean as it was giving off a strange smell but I am quite sensitive to smells. My partner was not bothered.
We booked a room for 4 but we were only two. So it turned out to be very spacious. The decor of the room is pleasant and you get loads of snacks on the house which is very nice. The bed is big and comfortable. The shower powerful.

United StatesNothing. It was close to perfect.
Situated on the top floor of a non-assuming building, this 9 room hotel location is perfect. Located in the Zhongshan District- whereas I would liken Ximen to Broadway, Zhongshan has a Soho feel. There is a lot to do without being overwhelming. About a five minute walk to the MTR, you can walk completely underground between the Taipei Train Station to the hotel’s MTR station. The rooms are fairly large for Taipei standards. The amenities are rather boho chic and have a very up to date feel. The hotel is extremely clean. The three people on staff are constantly cleaning. I spilt a milk tea on the floor of the room. When I wiped it up the paper towel I used had no dirt on it from the floor. You have to wear provided slippers inside which makes sure the hotel stays clean. Being a one floor hotel, the laundry is located on the same floor which made it very easy to use. The staff is very friendly and very helpful.

Location is reasonable - midway between two metro stops - with a reasonable number of eating options within walking distance. Great value for money.
