Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe “business lounge” is actually quite small and simple. There are only two tables and chairs.
The hotel is located at a convenient location. Although the room is not big, it’s clean and comfy.

United StatesThe a/c worked but humidity was a problem. Everything in the room seemed damp all the time. Window leaked during a storm and soaked personal items on windowsill.
Convenience to NTNU, clean, newer, comfortable, mini-fridge, bed was big and comfortable. Staff was friendly.

AustraliaIt is around a 12-15 min walk to Guting MRT and 10-12 minutes walk to Dongmen which is convenient but can be a hassle if youre pulling a heavy luggage. Only one lift.
Good value for the price, rooms were clean and well maintained and quiet. Not far from Shida night market.

SwitzerlandIt's a bit of a walk from the closest metro (there is a bus stop though). Also, the "business area" wasn't much - just a coffee machine and a table with two chairs crammed in a narrow room honestly. Both of these things didn't bother us, but they might be important to some people.
The room is clean and well equipped in a way that it doesn't feel as small as it is. The aquarium-style of the bathroom was fun - if you don't like it, there is a curtain for some more privacy. The shower was strong and the gel smelled nice. The reception staff was friendly. The location is convenient, in walking distance of Daan Forest Park, Yonkang shopping/restaurant street and Shida night market. There are so many great restaurants, bars and cafés around, it's almost overwhelming :)

SingaporeThere was a mouldy smell in the bedroom, and I had a slight allergic reaction to something in the air. Most likely mould from the carpet. Opening the windows helped a bit, but once they were shut (to keep out the cold), the smell returned. There was only one pillow per bed. The bathroom wall was glass, with a curtain drawn across it, but the coverage was not perfect -- not good if you are sharing with a friend.
I booked a stay at this hotel knowing exactly what to expect, and everything was exactly as I expected. The location is excellent, and the price reasonable -- the only reasons I decided to stay here. The hotel is in the Da-an district, with many informal dining options close by, and a short walk to the lively Yongkang Street area. I knew the room would be small and most likely not too comfortable. I have to say that the hotel managed very well within their space restrictions. The bathroom was unexpectedly of a reasonable size -- all it needed was a couple of hooks to hang towels and clothes (and fresher towels). The option to have room cleaning every day allowed us to keep the place clean and tidy enough to manage the cramped space. There was a kettle, mugs, teabags, free bottled water, and bedroom slippers.

United KingdomThe only issue I encountered was that the creamer/milk pods by the coffee machine were absolutely impossible to open!
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and spoke amazing English. The room was small but clean and comfortable, and the common room area had a free-use coffee machine, free snacks, and a filtered water fountain. The Shida night market is only a 5 minute walk away, and has a great array of stalls, and the beautiful Daan park is also 5 minutes away.

IndiaWould have liked a full mirror in the room, but not a big issue.
Was happy the hotel provides free tea and snacks during the day. The price of the rooms were reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful especially they gave us umbrellas on the rainy days, escorted me back to my floor to allow me access to my room as I had forgotten my key and advised about travelling to the airport early to avoid delays at the airport as we were flying back on Lunar New Year's day. The hotel was central to the places we wanted to visit with restaurants, supermarkets, metro station and churches all within walking distance. We were unexpectedly delighted that we could walk within 10 mins from this hotel to the beautiful Holy Family Church which allowed us to attend early morning daily Mass with the devoted parishioners even though we didn't speak the language but understood.

PhilippinesYou can see the wear and tear of the walls and carpet, everything could use a bit of an upgrade. The room was smaller than expected, esp given the price (somewhat understandable given the dates) - it can be difficult to open larger suitcases. The pillows were pretty flat (and we only had 1 each).
Good location easily accessible by buses (if not the MRT), next to a 24-hour grocery, and within walking distance of good restaurants and Da'an Park. Friendly and helpful staff. Received a New Years gift, which was nice!

GermanyThe room could have used more light sources, especially since it’s a room without a window. If someone above you took a shower, you could hear the water running through the pipes very loudly.
All in all a good stay - finding a not too expensive hotel during new years wasn’t easy. The staff was extremely nice and even gave me a wonderful gift for the new year! Everything was very clean.

GermanyWifi could be a bit spotty at times. You are well connected by bus, but you do have to walk about 10-15 min to the next mtr station. I personally love to walk, but to give you an idea, you'd walk about an hour to reach Taipei 101 and about an hour to reach the Lungshan temple
As a solo traveler it is usually quite difficult to find something that fits and is not a dorm. This hotel's single rooms fitted the bill quite well for me. Yes, they are small, but you don't book a stay here to hang in the room all day. I found the design quite clever, for fitting so much in such a tiny space. The neighborhood is nice, with some less touristy restaurants and bars around.
