Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A minor thing is the aircon is only one temperature, whatever you set it at it will only stay at the hotel temperature.
Friendly staff, secure parking, great position and it had a free laundry. It's a Chinese style breakfast and there is plenty of it.

I wish we had more time to spend in Xitou!
Breakfast spread was one of the best I have had. Plenty of vegetarian options, as many vegetarian options as non-vegetarian. Impressive variety of hot food. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Shuttle service to bus station is super helpful especially when travelling with luggage uphill. There is a little garden area on hotel property which is somewhat like a secret garden in winter when misty. Great for some quiet forest bathing time. Hot and warm water dispenser right outside our room on level 6 was a huge bonus in terms of convenience. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Xitou. We will be back with our extended family.

Parking might be a challenge, but we have no problem finding a spot with the help from the service personnel at the front gate.
Walking distance to Xitou forest park and nearby commercial area. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Nice and quiet location, modern clean room.

Brilliant buffet breakfast as well as dinner excellent value for money, walking distance from the attractions, free shuttle to the bus station, friendly and helpful staff, bed mattress provided good support to the back

All good.
Our room was comfortable and quiet with a nice view over the valley to the mountains. The decor features lots of timber. The staff spoke a little English, but were very helpful. Dinner was inexpensive and good and there was a large Chinese style breakfast buffet. Parking was easy and it was only a short walk to the entrance of the nature reserve. This reserve has lots of easy walking trails through magnificent forest.

Steamboat dinner - all items are served totally frozen (chicken, pork, fish, enen tofu) - first time I have steamboat served this way!
Good selection, peaceful quiet environment despite more people having breakfast on a weekend.

None at all. Everything is good
The staff are very friendly and they took care of us very well. We were looking for hotel optional tours, and Jay Zhang volunteered to bring us around to explore Xitou/Nantou, with a reasonable charge. He was really amazing. He's a hotel executive which is also the hotel tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Well worth and super thankful for the short guide which gave us more insights of the little area. Its very value for money. Strongly recommend to stay at this hotel to enjoy the best of everything. Its walking distance to Xitou Educational Area.

Beds on 6th floor are incredibly hard. When we asked for a solution, we were brought to 5th floor where beds were much softer! Nice staff.

The beds were too hard.. everything else was perfect. The cost was a little high too, but it was very close to the Chinese New Year holiday season so that happens very often with a nice place like this one.
I was an very nice, convenient, and relaxing stay. The food is excellent and the location is perfect. The rooms have a fantastic size and there plenty of space and it very quiet. The heater worked great!

Very very dated facilities and be very careful when ordering food from the Chinese restaurant if you are vegetarian/vegan as they are not careful when checking
