The hotel's website says it's in the downtown. It's isn't. The staff who checked us in wasn't very patient. The dinner buffet isn't very good value for money.

The room was clean but had no view (we were on the side of the building). The pool was nice but often very crowded.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, good wellness area for a Hotel. You can rent a bike directly in the hotel and within minutes you are on the bicycle trails. A little outside of the city, but depends what you plan on doing. But has also so markets around to check out. Huge entertainment area also in the hotel

Whilst the hotel is well established, it was clean, very well maintained with a classic interior that is ageless and elegant. Staff were always available and approachable and assisted with any questions throughout our stay, including making calls to check the accessibility of Taroko Gorge/road (following a brief earthquake (5.0)) during our stay. Our room was spacious enough for a five night stay. The beds were comfortable; and having the ability to control the air conditioning ensured a good night’s sleep. The sound proofing could be improved, although the sounds from adjoining rooms were tolerable. Buffet breakfast was plentiful, with an adequate range of options for our vegan diet. The pool and spa area was welcoming, providing a good view across the ocean and small glimpse of the vast mountains that surround Hualien. The pool was also well monitored by staff. The location was ideal for us as we had a rental car, but may be a bit of a complication if you do not have transport. The hotel’s parking (underground) option was included as part of our room cost, so ensuring further peace of mind. We will definitely use the hotel again during our next trip to Hualien.

Not many food options in the neighbourhood and the dining room was only open Friday night for a seafood buffet nobody told us about - we almost missed it.

Clean, friendly nice harbour view, good variety of Asian breakfast foods, bike rentals. Helped us get a car and driver for the day.

    None.

Price is a super value, compares to other over-charged hotels in Taiwan. Perhaps due to a low travel season.

The hotel cost more than others in the area so it would have been nice to have things like the sauna cost already included in the price.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was kind and helpful even with our language differences. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet although it was pricey compared to outside breakfast spots. We also appreciated the amenities, including the outdoor pool, sauna, gym, and game room. The hotel’s location was perfect for us too—a short scooter ride into downtown and to some local sights.

The room (despite the balcony) was a bit on the darkish side.

Comfortable room. Nice staff. Possibility to rent an e-bike. As the Taroko NP was not accessible due to typhoon damages, it was nice to tour Hualien and the beaches by bike. Good buffet (even though slightly repetitive).
