How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The air conditioner in the room is quite hot and after adjusting it, it doesn't turn on.
This hotel is close to Beiman Station and can be reached in 5-10 minutes. And this hotel is quite convenient for going to the airport because it is close to Taipei Main Station, just a 5-minute walk away.

Couldn’t control air conditioning temperature, very cold always . No breakfast service . Very far from Taipei Station .

When we arrived in the early morning for check in even though there was staff present he didn't acknowledge us, he didn't even point us to the elevator until we almost entered staff space.
We enjoyed the location. The room was fine.

The hotel overall look old. Not very clean but not that bad
Center of the town, there were lots of famous restaurant surrounded the hotel within walking distances 5-10mins walk from taipei main station we can walk back from ximenting a bit far but walkable

Bathroom light is not enough to put on makeup. Wifi got sometimes slow. Shower area in the bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain so the water spreads all over the bathroom. I took a shower with my back to the wall. Room cleaning was not really room cleaning. They just threw the trash away. Not even proper bed making. I found a chicken? bone under the bed. They don’t clean the room enough? before the new customer check in?
Room was spacious. It has a work desk. It has a bath tub in the bathroom. close to Taipei n Zhongshan station. Convenient. So many food options near the hotel. Cleaning staffs I always asked for new towels n throwing the trash away were polite n seemed to be working hard.

Room was dark even with lights on. Must open the curtains to make it bright. At night it's quite dark.

Dated furnishing and insufficient suitable common meeting space for groups.
Convenient location fairly close to Taipei Main Station and the night market. Many good food outlets and other attractions within walking distance.

The hotel is very old, not fancy regarding anything. Bed is typical Asian bed. Not very comfortable and pillows are thin and squishy. At one point the fire alarm went off and there wasn’t much direction as to what to do. I went to the lobby and again no direction as to if we are evacuating. Eventually I just returned to my room. WiFi was very weak.
Very nice location in the downtown area. Not a lot around for tourists but there are places to eat nearby. Hotel desk clerk was very nice.

The staff weren't very friendly. They were ok, but I didn't feel welcome. The hotel has a self-check-in/card key printing machine, and I wondered if it was more efficient or if it just gave the staff an excuse to avoid eye contact when a guest asked for help. It's not a big deal, but it didn't give a good vibe.
The beds were really comfortable - possibly the best out of all the places I've stayed during my 2-week trip in Taiwan. The 📍 was rather convenient, but still a bit of a walk to the MRT.

Bit far from night markets and night life
For some it might be far from the nightlife and night markets. Area is close to the old street (very cute street). Beds and facilities are good.
