Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThere was only a blackout curtain on the window, so we had to draw the curtain even during the day to prevent anyone from seeing into the room. Because of this, we had to use the light constantly.
The staff is very kind, very helpful the room is large, comfortable. Location is perfect, near to Taipei main station and many shops, restaurants nearby.

Many convenience store like 7-Eleven and FamilyMart located nearby the hotel. Many cafe and restaurant nearby the hotel. Opaque bathroom door can locked, it make me feel privacy. All staff so kind.

Hong KongIt's an old building with old equipment and facilities. You use a key to open the door and there's only one key/room. The AC can be a bit noisy, so earplugs are recommended. The pillows are small and you get one/person. In their other branches they'll have extra pillows on the closet.
The location is great. The price is reasonable. Beds are comfy. Big bathroom with a big tub. It's clean. No disturbances from hallways or neighbours. The room itself is a decent size. You can open a big suitcase without trouble.

Malaysiaunfortunately it didn’t seem as new as it looks in the pictures, it seems like it’s quite a traditional / old hotel, however it’s just a problem with the atmosphere
the staff were very friendly, very kind and helpful, certain things needed like an umbrella or calling a cab to the taxi was done by the concierge, as well as very smoothly done

United KingdomThere were no outlets near the bed, the keyring was huge making it a little annoying to carry around without a bag, there was some noise from other guests, but honestly this isn`t anything I would complain about or tell others not to stay there for at all.
Both the room and the bathroom were large. I was worried it might be a tight space, but I had more than enough room to move around. I was privided with a fridge, water, and refreshment facilities. The staff spoke English, and helped me a lot with questions about changing money, getting something to eat and going to places etc. Thank you very much.

ThailandRepetitious breakfast (same for 3 days but a few good local restaurants nearby). That’s practically it.
Fabulous location (near 2 mrt stations, 1 Japanese department store, Uniqlo, Watsons, MacDonald’s, cosmed and several 7/11 and Family Marts, lovely 228 Peace Memorial Park & Taiwan National Museum ), efficient and polite staff, comfy rooms (very quiet too despite the location!), and reasonable prices.

PhilippinesMusty smell of the hotel. It is an old hotel, some wallpaper was peeling. They seem to be doing the best they can with the old hotel they have, they seem to be keeping it clean as best they can. It was one of the least expensive rooms available in the area, so just lower your expectations. At least the towels & bed linens were Green World quality and clean. If you really want to keep your hotel budget low, this is a good choice, although next time, I would spend a bit more for a better hotel. But if I couldn't find any other accommodation for a good price, this would still be acceptable, just not my preferred choice. There's no way to adjust the air-conditioning temperature, you just set it to ON/OFF, I, II or III. Good thing I brought a "sleeping" sweater and knitted hat (beanie). The lights and everything else was also controlled by a very retro-looking control panel straight from the 80s LOL.
Location was good. The bathroom was old but big and actually had a counter. They even have a bath tub but we didn't use it. The price was very inexpensive for Taipei Main Station, but lower your expectations, the hotel is very old and has a musty smell. THE BATHROOM IS AN ACTUAL BATHROOM, with real walls and a door. Not that glass bathroom wall crap most newer hotels have. The hallways were well-lit. There's a J&G Chicken and many coffee shops one street over. The hotel is right beside the Snoopy themed 7-11. Mitsukoshi is also just around the corner. There's a McDonald's nearby, as well as a Uniqlo. There's also a Fuzhou pepper bun place at another corner. I miss the J&G Signature popcorn chicken the most LOL. After you check out, you can leave your luggage at the hotel while you get a foot massage at the massage place beside the hotel.

SingaporeThe check-in time is 3 pm and check-out 11 am.
Given its cleanliness and comfort, it is value for money. It is centrally located in the city and is near the Taipei Main Station, with eateries nearby. More importantly, 7-Eleven was next door, a heaven during the typhoon when all restaurants and supermarkets were closed. A modest hotel yet functions well.

ThailandAir-condition is too cold and can only adjust only 3 levels. The key for entering the room is the real key, not keycard!!! It's bit difficult at first but after the 2nd day of stay it's ok not too bad but you need to manually lock the door every time leaving the room, so don't forget!
Location is ok , not far from Taipei Main Station, the center of all transportations you need for travelling. Room is ok, nothing fancy , a bit old but yet function and clean. Breakfast is acceptable with bread / salad and Chinese dishes which menu changing everyday. Staffs at front is friendly and full of service mind, they can even remember my room no.!!!
