The photos do not do this hotel justice. The bedrooms and public areas are stunning. The onsen and swimming facilities are the best I’ve seen. If you have the option to upgrade to half board, do it. The buffet dinner was sensational- I’d also recommend the later sitting so you can spend longer there!

Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner with multiple cuisine options including Japanese sashimi, whole spit roasted pork. Limited restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Bus stop outside the hotel. Hotel provides free shuttle bus to and from the hotel/train station/bus stop plus a free bus pass for travel around the lake. Room included large sunken hot bath with a view. Close to around the lake walkway with well maintained walking/biking tracks. Boat rides across the lake.

Excellent stay, felt very welcomed and attended to. Loved that there was a games room available to use, room was very clean, view beautiful. We purchased breakfast & dinner too and it was very handy that we could eat within the premise and then head out. There is a bus stop opposite of the hotel so it made it convenient to catch one to travel around the lake. The mini bar had drinks that were all included for free. The hot spring tub in the hotel room was very relaxing. Thank you for accommodating for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Little touches like contacting us when the room is ready for check in, suggesting places to visit, being attentive to our requirements.

Breakfast was excellent. Spacious room with onsen. The location is great for lake view but not in town. A la carte dinner was good but expensive. I was disappointed with the restaurants in town actually so the hotel was the best option. I was too busy to enjoy the pool and spa, but it made a hood impression

Location was a little far from main city so can't really walk around to get other food. Can get taxi or hotel has a shuttle that goes to the town twice per day.

Lovely stay! Pricey but you get the 5 star experience. Hotel had bus picked us up from the high speed rail and drove us to hotel and back. Staff was professional and helpful. Modern hotel, very nice amenities. One of the nicest hotel we have been to. Our package had breakfast and dinner included at the buffet. The food was delicious. Breakfast is served until 12 so you can come in/out as often as you want so we went in a second time around 11 to get some food as a early lunch. Pool/hot spring area was very nice! Need a swim cap. View from hotel was gorgeous. Good walk trail around the lake from the hotel.

Price-value ratio is a bit too high. At the dinner, there was barely any option for vegetarians.

The food included in our okg was pretty much the same for 2 days. Buffet selection was great, but could use some variety menus to make the meals more interesting.

The view from our room was spectacular, with the window open we could hear the birds. Not much road noises from the traffic. The hot spring facility and the swimming pool were the highlight, very relaxing.

It's a bit far away from everywhere, so you need to visit convinient store far away from the hotel before arriving the hotel in case you need to buy anything.

It was the best hotel having lots of food options. The breakfast buffet was the best. The lakeview was beautiful. i had wonderful time with my family. The staffs are not fluent in English but they are really kind and try to help me out on everything I asked.

Rooms have aged a little and at some places feel worn. But it’s a minor thing and you wont be disappointed if you come for nature, spa and onsun

This hotel feels like an institution, despite muted impressions from the facade when you see it for the first time. Fantastic attention to detail, great food and facilities. Hotel is located only 10 min away from one of the most beautiful temples I’ve ever seen. Staff and management went above and beyond to make out stay comfortable. There is also hotel provided shuttle bus to/from Taichung high speed station.

Hard to find motivation to go out of the hotel. Too much things to do here!

Better than 99 percent of 5 stars overseas with the same price range. Check-in started as soon as you hop on the free shuttle, where cool towel and tea are served. Couldn't afford to try the helicopter straight from the airport option, but it is on the table. Highly recommend Japanese style room, as I find it no difference in quality compare to ones in Japan. Great quality onsen with flexible opening time. Great Onsen bathtub in your room. Perfect buffet dinner and breakfast, even though I am not a buffet person, I did enjoy trying local cuisine from the buffet. Great activities for kids, to the point my little one woke me up at 7am. Free and fast shittle drop off to the port, where one of the best cycling trial starts.

Excellent!! From the hotel lobby, to the rooms, to the buffet spread and the indoor playground for kids, everything was perfect. We took the Japanese style room & the view was perfect, overlooking Sun Moon Lake. Room was spacious, new and comfortable. Both dinner & breakfast buffet spread was perfect. Onsen was great too. Nothing to complain about.

Very clean and comfortable room with a gorgeous view of the lake. The special tub in our Premier King Lake View room was well worth it. Free drinks and snacks. The dinner and breakfast buffets were absolutely stellar. A big pool area. Very helpful staff. Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

I reserved a fine dining experience plus the upgraded set meal and was overcharged a third of the cost of my prepaid reservation. When I pointed this out after my meal, they were unwilling to fix their mistake on the spot and said they would fix it at reception. It was bothersome having to think about it the remainder of my trip. At check-out, the issue was not resolved as promised and I had difficulty explaining the entire situation due to language barrier. Eventually it was resolved, but the unpleasant situation should have been avoided altogether

The buffet breakfast has an incredible selection. The balcony view of Sun Moon Lake is worth every penny. The trails next to the lake are easily accessible and well maintained. Wenwu Temple is a walkable distance if its not too hot out. The service and attention to detail was on another level- very impressive

Immaculate hotel with wonderful amenities, friendly and polite service. Delicious breakfast and dinner buffet with large variety of dishes. The views of Sun Moon Lake were breath taking.
