How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Stairs are quite steep, was glad not to have a lot of luggage otherwise would have been tricky! Soundproofing between floors wasn’t great, could hear lots of stomping around upstairs but between walls was good!
Location was fantastic - very handy to Dongmen markets, station and Yongkang St. Staff were friendly and room was clean. Despite having a no-window room, the lighting was quite clever so didn’t make you feel thy way. Nice big walk in shower was a bonus!

No issues with this place, everything met our expectations.
Location was excellent. Room was clean and adequate. All appliances and A/C worked well. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower.

Very nice small hotel close to MRT station, we checked in late but the manager made very sure we got the key and we could get in smoothly. The room was very nice with a nice size refrigerator and hot/cold water dispenser down the hallway.

The walls are thin so you can hear other guests. There is also no elevator so be prepared to bring up your baggages by stairs. I suggest the hotel to give slippers for the bathroom as shower floor is not that clean and can be slippery.
The hotel is in a very nice location. Close (walking distance)to Dongmen train station so going to other places with train or metro is very convenient. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is washer and dryer available at a small fee. Outside the hotel is 711 convenient store.

Very strategic location, less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is also strategically located above 7-11 and is extremely convenient. Staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations.

It's a small hotel and the lobby is a bit dated but don't let that deter you. See all the good stuff above!
This hotel is not the usual modern hotel but it has the character of the area. We had a short stop here while waiting for the long-term apartment we were staying in to be cleaned. It was suitable for a short stay. The room we were in was clean, check-in was really efficient, and the room had everything we needed. The location is excellent (close to food options and the metro station). The manager is also very accommodating. I would recommend it!

The lid of toilet was broken. (Connection part) cleaning was not quite great (room condition) But the bath, water was good.

Just take note that they do not have a receptionist past 11 pm and before 7 am. So if you are checking in/out between these times, be sure to inform them so they can give you instructions how to enter the hotel (you need a keycard).
Location was excellent beside 7-11 convenience store, morning market and Dongmen MRT station. From there it was easy to get to other places by transferring lines if needed.

The towels were usable but mine had a small hole in it. There were many stairs and no lift so be prepared for a lot of climbing. Thankfully, the staff will help you bring up the luggage.
Excellent staff service. The staff were accommodating and friendly. They gave friendly advice and support our needs for more pillows and room essentials. I will always fondly remember this place due to the staff services. The location is also excellent, very near the metro/mrt of dongmen, it allows easy access to various parts of Taipei. Right below the hotel is a 24hr convenience store, meaning that any essentials can be bought at any time. Lastly, there is a 9am to 12ish market that open right below the hotel almost every day which means that I can immediately taste the food and culture of Taiwan right downstairs

Under the bed hasn't been clean in a few months. Not a fan of the random condom on top of the fridge. Maybe I would appreciate it as a young fellow bringing his partner, but not when we are a family of 4. Whatever is in the sink cupboard needs to be removed fixed or bathed in holy water.
