The rooms are a tad small.

The owner and team were very nice and warm. The owner personally welcomed and orientated us to our rooms when we arrived. My dad was unwell and they looked out for him. All hotel facilities were very clean and well-kept. The location was rather central, near to restaurants and shops.

It’s a really nice and cozy boutique hotel. They have all that you need for a short stay and Andrew and all the staff there were very thoughtful and made you felt most welcome and at home.

The room was smaller than I have expected. We needed to go to the lobby to get drinking water but I guessed the sound insulation did not help much, and so I heard some disapproving shouts from some one in another room about the noise that I made.

Breakfast is the only thing didn’t meet my expectations. This trip is both work and leisure so for me a proper breakfast with fruits vegetables are essential. These are missing from the breakfast options.

Japanese themed hotel , very neat and simple. Minimal design with many sustainable features like the water machine in every floor that supplies hot and cold water. The room is small but very cozy. The design is compact and comfortable. The sofa inside the room is a nice feature.

The whole experience was excellent! Very clean, modern, quiet, with very convenient location. The breakfast was traditional and that is very important when visiting a foreign place. The owners went above and beyond to satisfy our requests. Truly grateful!

The room was a bit small, with nowhere to put my suitcase or other belongings. Breakfast was okay but nothing amazing.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. It has a boutique feel without the boutique price. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet, but near some big attractions like City Hall and the mall. It’s not super close to the main downtown area but it was still walkable for me. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great here - the service, cleanliness and the comfort level was beyond my expectations. The room was very cosy and neat, which made the stay very enjoyable and my mum and i were very well rested every night (bedsheets and beds were very comfy!!!) The breakfast spread was very simple yet delicious and we found ourselves looking forward to breakfast everyday even if we ate the same things! The hosts were also very nice and easily approachable people which was a huge plus Will definitely come back again when i visit taichung in future :)

A lot of Japan-inspired decorations (even for the room card) and tatami floor, very comfortable bed, beautiful Japanese garden outside my room. Good homemade breakfast and friendly owners who took the time to explain how they adorned the room.

Understand the set up of the lodge is based on Zen concept, which is very aesthetically pleasing and calming. The room could have been more equipped to handle guests clothing (such as a closet).

Very personalized service, extremely friendly and helpful to all the guests. Owners personally engage every guest affectionately. Top-notch cleanliness & hygiene, superb quality beddings/toiletries/accessories, extremely warm and comfortable stay. The owner even personally drove us to a nearby supermarket for supplies!

Room was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, staff - yang was really friendly and helpful. We were there for wedding photo shoot and had to move out earlier than breakfast time, he offered to prepare breakfast and placed it in our room the night before. The owners were really friendly and nice as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is ideal. The location is excellent, the service is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very new and in great condition. When I needed to arrive late, the hotel staff is in touch ahead and stayed connected with me to ensure arrival was smooth, even though my flight was late. Very highly recommend and would stay here again.
