Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only downside was when we were leaving at 6am, the gentleman at the front desk chased us down outside (with our ride already there to take us to the airport) to ask where are keys are. I told him, we left them in the room. Then when we were ready to pull away he ran back out there saying we needed to pay for dry cleaning. Not sure why it wouldn't have just been added to the room bill. I had to go back in and pay with 5 people and the driver waiting.
Raymond at the front door is the best!!!!! He is the nicest and went out of his way to help us. He was so knowledgeable and spoke really good English. My son had been in tawain for 3 months learning Mandarin, so he took time to talk and help my son. It really meant alot. Every hotel needs a Raymond! The front desk gentleman with the longer hair was super nice and funny too. The breakfast was a little wild, but good. Location was the best! Walking distance to taipei main station, night market and different shopping districts!

EstoniaSome things could need some renovating, better decorating or a "refreshment" (a shower handle not moving easily to cold water; some electric wires that are not dangerous but are visible coming from the wall which is a bit unusual; lights in the bathroom producing so much heat that the mirror and things left by the mirror will be hot).
The location of the hotel is nice, easy to find. You can walk to the riverside or to streets with shops. Check-in and check-out smooth. When some issue arose with the room (some machine noise coming from the roof), the staff was very helpful and responsive in changing the room. Overall the staff was very friendly and spoke English well which made communication easy. Breakfast was compact, but especially for the low price that we payed, good enough, and included decent coffee. The breakfast buffet would greatly benefit from adding more signs about the ingredients, so as to distinguish allergens or vegetarian food, but as a vegetarian I ate fine when inquiring about the ingredients. Location is somewhat near to the train station, so quite convenient to go there. Also, it was very nice the hotel has a tiny fitness room for cardio (could improve by adding a weightlifting machine or a dumbbell rack).

SingaporeFull length windows are nice but not when it looks into the next block. So close that we had to keep the curtains closed most of the tim.
Great location just minutes walk from Ningxia night market and Dihua Old Street. Spacious room with adequate space for luggage. Helpful security guard who went out of his way to get us taxis.

SingaporeBreakfast area was welcoming but breakfast was a total letdown. Stayed 4 nights and every breakfast was 97% similar food. It was a rather confused menu of mish mash food. Not sure who eats raw oysters during breakfast. Or steam (???) prawns for another breakfast morning. Seasonal vegetable was stir fry cabbage EVERYDAY. Cannot believe Taiwan has only cabbages! Housekeeping is done differently here. Seems like taff make up beds and provide new towels only. So for guests who party and leave random rubbish in room, don’t expect them to be cleared away. I may be wrong because our cups were not put away even after housekeeping. Even with these quirks, room was sooner comfortable.
Had higher floor for my return stay. The room was just as comfortable. Friendly front agents. Cozy feel in lobby. Walking distance the night market (nothing to shout about if you have visited others). 711, Starbucks, local cafes, eateries around. Zhongshan shopping is walkable. distance away. Various bus stops to various tourists spots are close by.

United StatesMaybe one thing that other people mentioned was a cigarette smell, but maybe it was coming from one of the rooms (because some days I couldn’t smell it). The place was super clean though, like I even took a bath in the bathtub and I usually wouldn’t if I felt that the place wasn’t that clean.
The hotel was in a great location, close to a number of tourist spots without being in the crazy thick of it. I stayed for a week and as a solo female traveler, felt the area was safe even at night. The room they gave me was incredibly huge, it had a living room zone, a bed that I think was a California king, a full desk with office chair, and the bathroom had a shower and separate full sized bath. Also the place had a walk-in closet. Just so much space for one person. There was also this ingenious control panel right next to the bed, that controlled all of the lights and temperature in the room, so I could control everything without getting up. Why can’t all hotels have this? All the staff were super nice and helpful, and there were plenty of spaces to sit in the lobby. Would totally stay here again.

SingaporeNo view from the fifth floor - literally nothing! Anyone who had to pay may be extremely disappointed. We didn’t bother as it was to catch a good nights’ sleep which we had . Hope to get higher floors on my return in a few days time.
Stayed a nite as was gg to Taichung the next day. Room was very comfortable. Enjoyed the stay even if room had zero view! Since we didn’t have a lot of time, can’t really comment if location was good. But we still managed to get decent food walking distance from hotel. Hope to explore more when we return.

ThailandThis was a borderline flawless stay. Our only less than perfect aspect was the tendency for the a/c to run really cold. However, in their defense, the bedside control panel could turn it on/off as opposed to hoping the thermostat would trigger quickly. It was a minor flaw.
What we liked... where to start? Room - Very spacious (corner double #1003) Very clean Very quiet Staff - All the staff were absolutely wonderful! A special shoutout to Ms. Mei, who went above and beyond to get us late dinner reservations at a restaurant that seems to always be full. But everyone we interacted with was professional, cheerful and efficient Common areas were spotless... always Breakfast buffet was good - not 5 star resort but generous Asian-centric with some variations every day. Absolutely enough to get our day started... and great coffee.

United StatesWe absolutely froze in room. It was warmer outside than inside. I had heater on 22 celsius and it said heat but cold air came out of vent and it stayed at 19 or 20.
Room and lobbies and eating area all very beautiful and high quality design and materials. My breakfast not included but we paid for it one day. Beautiful breakfast room and large buffet but the food was meh compared to the other hotel I stayed in. Location was great, near Dihua district and frequent buses that took us everywhere. LOVED the huge square rain shower, like being under a waterfall. My daughter loved the separate deep tub.

United StatesThe bath tub had a 3in. X 6 in. Rectangle cut out of it exposing the inner area. There was a slight smell from the air vents when the fan was blowing. Very much old building thing not concerning. There’s a lot of lobby space filled with nice seating. I think it would be a great area for a hotel bar. Probably can’t do too much about the being cracks that were painted.
The room and hotel experience far exceeded my expectations! Traveling as black person can impact your treatment even if you have a very professional and friendly disposition like me. I own a technology company that led to living in Beijing. We stayed at higher end hotels in the Sanlitun area. They were small and poorly designed, etc. Somehow I thought Taiwan hotels would be similar. I was wrong. This hotel was on par with a Westin are Intercontinental room. Except my room had a patio with a table umbrella and seating. It felt like it was on the first floor because of the stones and plants. The Superior Double, bed, bathroom, and room were a very large especially for the region. The breakfast was great, well beyond a continental breakfast that you would get in Scandinavia or Europe. The eggs, and Guava juice were the highlights for me but they had a lot to offer. The staff were very professional. The older bell man was great and really set the tone for the pleasantness of the stay. When I come back to Taiwan this is most likely the hotel I will stay. It’s clear the building is old despite the upgraded facade outside which is well done as well as the early 2000’s western interior design. There are imperfections but you simply won’t beat the combination of comfort, space, water pressure, breakfast, professionalism, location, fast WiFi, at the very competitive prices. In general Taiwan hotels have a great value to cost ratio but this was better IMHO. Oh yea, on the coffee table was a free bottle of wine and a gift box with several high-end toiletry brands. 8.8/10
