Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany- fridge didn’t work - you can choose your cleaning schedule on the iPads. But even if you choose to not have the room cleaned and hang out the don‘t disturb sign, they will push little letters under the door everyday to remind you of the cleaning service. Felt a bit invasive after already taking two steps to declare that we didn’t want any cleaning done that day.
+ super friendly and helpful staff + located only a 2-3 minute walk from the nearest MRT station and about 10 minutes from AirPort Express station + clean + amazing views (we were lucky enough to even see fireworks on the river side) + big beds and quite big rooms

MalaysiaThe TV in my room was not working properly, and I could not cast my media to it. The use of the iPad to control room facilities is a cool idea, but it reloads/reconnects to the network every time you open the iPad resulting in delays to the task you're trying to do.
The room was fantastic and very comfortable bed, lots of natural light with a great view of the Taipei river. Cool technology in the room to control tv, music, lighting, temperature and blinds. Bathroom is small but super nice and clean. Check in was easy and hassle free. Location is alright, near the main stations with a bit of walking.

United Kingdom• Perfect location – tucked away on a quiet street yet just a short walk to several MRT stations and bus stops. Only 10–15 minutes to Taipei Main Station, 10–15 minutes to Ximending, and just 2 minutes to reach the city’s business district. • Outstanding staff – the reception team is exceptionally helpful, and the cleaner on the 5th floor took incredible care of our room every single day. • Comfortable and modern rooms – while not overly spacious, the room had everything we needed. The facilities were modern and cozy, the shower was fantastic, and the city view from our window was simply beautiful.

PhilippinesIts not a matter of not liking it but due to its design as well, it will leave little to your privacy. With modern technology it could have been nice to have a one way mirror type of window. If you want privacy, you need to use the black out curtains which will leave you in a small room without view.
The hotel boast a great view of the City. It was self check in but hassle free as they leave clear instruction. It gave us a unique experience as the hotel design (a bed literally next to a full room window) opens up the hustling and bustling of the street below witj wonderful view of thr mountains on a clear day

It’s a fine CitizenM classic

AustraliaNothing much to comment here but between certain hours people do come to clean windows from the outside so just have to be a bit more cautious about privacy. For us it’s not a big deal as we wouldn’t be in the hotel room during those hours, but I can see that it could be a small inconvenience for some people in regard to privacy. The hotel does have a sheet informing you of this though.
Easy and fast check in process. Location of hotel very convenient for travelling around Taipei but also if you needed to take public transport around other cities in Taiwan. Rooms were kept very clean and room service arranged my plushy on the bed really nicely which was very thoughtful of them. The city view of our room was beautiful and definitely worth the price.

SingaporeThe location from the train station is about 5-10mins walk away. It is unsheltered, hence could be a little hot while walking with your luggages during the day or inconvenient if it is raining. Other than that, the hotel is amazing.
Room is clean, check in is fuss free. You can check in by yourself at the counter by following the instructions. Hotel is quiet.

SingaporeHowever, sometimes the TV will take awhile to load or switch channels.
We love the view that our room offers (especially during sunsets) and having to control the lights, blinds and TV using an iPad is a fun concept. We enjoy the facilities especially the canteen as it provides us a place to chill and we had the happy hour during our stay which was a great addition when we are looking to chill

FranceWe have a lot of electronics and definitely needed a hub for wires and plugs
Quiet, good location near subway but away from hustle and bustle of Center. Clean (every day clean and fresh towels ), charming staff, all the amenities needed (kettle, iron, laundry room). And charming staff… one of the better hotels we have stayed in and the room was decent sized for a couple. View outside was some space and a small temple garden below. Loved it and highly recommend.

Hong KongThere were a couple of things I didn’t like. The handwash basin being in the room itself felt a bit weird, even though I guess it looked quite stylish. It just wasn’t very practical. Also, while I was able to leave my luggage there after checkout, it didn’t feel super safe. There’s no proper storage space for it—it’s just left in the lobby area behind some rope, and it looked messy with all the bags piled up. It didn’t really feel secure at all.
I stayed at the CitizenM Hotel in Taipei recently, and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The location is great—really central and easy to get around the city. My room was nice, modern, and the bed was huge, which I totally loved. The best part was definitely waking up to the view from the bed—it was so nice just lying there looking out. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but fair for the price. Loved the little detail of AM / PM versions of shower gel and the super efficient check in check out!!!
