Check in counter staff services need to be improved, the booking room photo doesn't match the hotel's physical room and maybe does not exist, misleading us to pay for higher cost for a so called 4 star hotel room yet given a 3 star room.

Most staff I interacted with were warm and helpful but there were 3 front desk staff who were brusque and makes one feel that one's questions interrupted their very important work and it is such a chore to attend to the guests. The beds are terribly hard. Both my son and I had backache after sleeping on the hard mattress for a week. I could even feel the springs underneath my back. If changing the mattress is not an option, providing mattress toppers upon request can be a solution considered. On the other hand, the pillows are so soft that there is no support for the head and neck. It was really hard to get good sleep throughout my stay. Only 1 charging point near the beds. Will be convenient to have another point at the desk.

The location is the main reason for choosing this hotel. The room we had was spacious and clean. Special thanks to the concierge staff and housekeeping staff. They had been most helpful and attentive to guests. Special thanks to the check out staff on duty on 21 June. Such a huge difference of service standard compared to the rest.

The room seems run-down overall, especially the carpets.

A major advantage is the short walk to the Taipei Main Station, with plenty of dining options near the hotel. The breakfast spread at Checkers is excellent. Good security measures are in place to access the rooms, and the front desk services are quick and courteous.

No TV stations on TV in English besides Bloomberg. Need more channels for international visitors. Unable to have news stations, etc. Lighting in the bathroom is weak and low.

Right next to Taipei Main Station. Easy access to THSR. Station is hard to navigate inside, not a hotel issue. Easy access was a prime reason for staying here.

Despite hotel having many rooms, there was only one washing machine and one dryer for the entire hotel. Washer/dryer always occupied. Hotel did not provide basic amenities such as toothpaste/toothbrush, shaving razor/cream, facial cream something most basic hotels in Japan even provide

The carpet was dirty. No vacuuming at all. I saw a few pieces of tiny lint from day 1 and by day 4 it was still there. Please instruct housekeeping not to forget to vacuum the carpet!

Location and size of rooms. We booked 2 suites.and one twin room. The suites were very good size.
