Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumPillows. Food was not western’s at all, so great chance to try local food.
This is one of the few four-star resorts in the area of Kenton. It’s a lovely resort, the grounds are amazing. It looks very much Hawaii. I would definitely stay again, but the resort is certainly aging. We have a room with a lovely Jacuzzi in the garden which was very nice. The service was very good the use of robots to drop towels and food in the bedroom is funny. The location is very next to the beach and is excellent and there’s lots of water sports activities that you can do. It’s great for families particularly those with kids under 10 as there’s so many supervised activities The pool is wonderful although the seats around the pools don’t have any cushions and so you simply have to put towels on top of wood and it’s rather uncomfortable. Also there’s not very many sunshades that you can move around what was very funny is around 12 to 130 every day the pool closes down for what they call maintenance! All the staff disappear and everybody gets out of the poolwe found this quite amusing. Theirs is we found this quite amusing. There’s a Starbucks next door. We took a taxi from the end of the main line station which took about two hours and wasn’t very expensive. I would say 18 €90 on the way back. We took the courtesy bus that’s organised by the hotel which was Direct and took about 2 1/2 hours as on Sunday there’s much more traffic than during the week I did quite a bit of work at the hotel and found it a very good place to relax but also to progress with work in a nice constructive environment and there are office facilities there if you need to meet with people and do remote working so overall very good Location Things that they could improve to have some better pillows on the bedding some perhaps bigger rooms as well and more modern facilities in the future, but otherwise a wonderful .

DenmarkYou could start to see a bit of age in the carpets in the hallway, and the price seemed a bit more expensive than comparable resorts in other countries.
A pretty resort right with its own private beach access in Kenting with the bus stop to Kaohsiung right in front of the hotel. Beautiful room with little balcony, nice pool in the middle of the hotel, and a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and night market of Kenting. Lots of different options at the breakfast buffet, including a large vegan selection. (I'm not vegan, but if I were, I'd appreciate it.) Very child-friendly.

TaiwanThe beach is very rocky so that’s something to be aware of. The front desk staff did disclose this when we checked in. The beach associated with the hotel did not have lounge chairs, only mats to lie on the sand.
The pool is lovely! The location is walking distance to the night market which is nice. I enjoyed our room with the spa bath on the patio!

AustraliaNot much - other than that perhaps they can change the pool cleaning time to later in the evening instead of 12noon to 1pm.
We loved everything from the moment we arrived. The bell service team and front desk team were friendly and very helpful. The resort and resort facilities are very well maintained and clean. We loved the thoughtfulness around kids - starting from our room (they had bed rails and cot set up for us, a baby bath tub with body wash and kids slippers ready in the room) to the restaurants (kids cutlery and crockery very cute with clean high chairs) and then the large kids recreational centre. We had a typhoon during our trip to Kenting so the large indoor kids recreational centre was super helpful - meant we could entertain our toddler whilst being indoors for a full day. The breakfast buffet was amazing - both Taiwanese and western breakfast options and more! The lotus restaurant also does a thai hot pot which we enjoyed.

SwitzerlandNothing I really didn't like. The beach construction is not very nice at the moment but easy to ignore. If I could change one thing it would be to give the poor parrot a more interesting life. It's a sad situation for an "ecological " hotel to keep a creature like that. The gym was small and squeezed in a corner. I wish it would've opened earlier.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I got a good offer. Full price would've been too much. My room (380) was gorgeous, a good size, with a nice terrace, and quiet. The breakfast buffet was huge and different the two mornings I ate there. I also used the spa and had a nice massage. Not cheap but good. The beach is very nice and good for swimming. The Kenting expressed bus stops right in front of the hotel.

United StatesI cant really think of anything to do better aside from that they have a cafe in the lobby which doesnt open until 11AM, would be nice if it opened before they offer the bus service back so you can get a drink before your long ride back to Kaohsiung from the hotel.
This hotel is amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly, they upgraded my room from the basic one I had booked to the one with a mini backyard that includes a small bathtub/hot tub you can use including direct access to the pool from the rooms backyard. The rooms here were extremely clean and very modern. Overall great ambience and super comfy accommodations. The experience here couldn't have been better and the location was also great with beach access and close to Kenting's night market. The breakfast buffet that's included is very good with a lot of options. They also offer a bus back to Kaohsiung HSR station for those staying at the hotel that leaves at 11AM.

NetherlandsIn general we had a wonderful stay, but on the last day we wanted to start our day earlier and we went for the breakfast at 8, finding big queues… so we went back at 8:30 as the previous days where it was a bit more quiet but then it’s less time to have a relaxed breakfast since at 9 they prepare for the second group. It is a pity that the opening hours of the kid’s playground and swimming pool are relatively late (9 am for the playground), our daughter is an early bird so we had to keep her entertained before we had breakfast availability. Compared to other hotels where we stayed in Taiwan, we missed the child seat on the bikes, we wanted to use them but they didn’t have this option.
We liked the friendly staff, the atmosphere and the facilities. Location was perfect: just in front of the bus stop and a reachable walk to the night market. We loved the fact that there were washing machines on every floor with dryers to do your laundry. We liked the discount for the buffet dinner and the delicious food made there. Our daughter loved the room service with the robot and she enjoyed the kid’s activities.
