Unfortunately the kitchen was closed, due to unforeseen circumstances, for most of our stay but the staff were quick to adapt and we were kept informed promptly of the situation. One night, dinner was delivered to our cabin. Other days, we ate out.

Castara Retreat is an absolute gem - fabulous location, stones throw for a beautiful beach and supermarket, and the yoga teacher, Judah is delightful. We loved our stay there. Hummingbird feeders in the restaurant, which was a treat. Very helpful staff and excellent driver service. 😍.

No microwave. Recommended to put a mosquito/insect outdoor screen around the verandah to help reduce insects or perhaps a ceiling fan.

Amazing location. View from Lime Tree was incredible to wake up to. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen very well stocked. Free Banana bread and coffee lovely touch. Yoga wonderful wishes we’d done more.

The location of the property was ideal allowing you to be integrated with the local community when desired but also allowing for privacy and quiet when desired. The room had everything needed for your stay. The staff were all amazing and went above and beyond to make you comfortable.

Amazing eco.lodge resort in the small village of Castara The 17 lodges are relatively secluded on a Hillside opposite the beach. It has a restaurant, bar and yoga studio. The beach is pretty secluded itself, and has loungers for hire at either end of Big Bay. There is good snorkeling at Little Bay and a great walk up to a fab waterfall and pool. There is a bar at Little Bay and another on the Big Bay, with parties on Weds and Thursday respectively. Castara is a wee little village with a couple of restaurants, a couple of small mini marts and a man who sells fab fishburgers right next to the fish market

The cleaner should come every 2-3 days to maintain, especially as the living area and kitchen are outdoors and to change sheets in a hot climate. The towels are not towels and are are like beach mat, certainly not a normal towel. Restaurant overpriced for the smallest bake.

It was beautiful and Castara is stunning. Just so romantic and as described. The staff are wonderful. The space is lovely and it was enjoyable being there.

No photos of the bathroom facilities for any of the apartments. It was basic but functional. Our bathroom basin was damaged but our hosts were on it as soon as we said.

Totally amazing Caribbean Kitchen! Food was superb and every member of staff, without fail, was warm, welcoming and the kitchen guys certainly know their food!

The room we stayed in was pictured as having a view of the sea but what it missed (on purpose) was that you actually have the whole view of a car park and a metal roof. I was disappointed when I arrived and Sue wouldn’t give a refund and the alternative rooms offered didn’t have two bedrooms which is what we paid for.

This co retreat is perfect if you’re after raw natural beauty. The staff are amazing and we thank you all for looking after us. The Caribbean restaurant is incredible! We are vegetarian and there were a few options but the food is clean and all plant based (a you opt for the veggie). I would give the restaurant 6 stars- it is however very pricey but you get what you pay for.

The parking was a bit of a challenge but understandable given the location. The showers were a bit small than I am used to but practical and manageable.

Kind, warm, and friendly staff. The personality of this place really makes you feel at ease and one with nature. The locals make you feel welcomed and part of their community. I really enjoyed the cultural and natural experiences that this unique place offers. I felt transported to a simplier time in the islands history. The food offered overall was unique and we had fun trying the various menu options each day. That welcome cake was a nice touch. Felt like visiting family.

The only thing that I would have liked is if our room had been cleaned one more time during our trip. We stayed for 10 days and our room was cleaned on day 3 and then not again. When we thought it would get cleaned again fell on a weekend so maybe that is why it didn't. Other than that one little thing our stay was fabulous.

We stayed in Treetops. The room and the view surpassed our expectations. Porridge and Jeanell were very helpful whenever we had questions. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
