Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Trinidad and TobagoIf I had to say something “bad” it’s that there was sargassum seaweed for 2 days but the maintenance staff worked tirelessly to have it removed and it’s no fault of the resort itself. It was “bad luck” that I had to be there when it washed in the bay.
The secluded nature of the resort. It’s nestled in between Tobago’s mountain and a breathtaking view of the ocean. There were a lot of activities to do on the resort. Even the drive to the resort was super scenic! There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this resort. Friendly staff, great tasting food at the resort. Even Speyside has things to do if you want to get out a bit.

Trinidad and TobagoA fair amount of seaweed came in on the second day .. but this was nature and couldn't be helped. It did mostly clear up from the water but ended up on the shore. Maybe a more intense beach rake up on mornings to clear the weed on the beach might help.
Excellent service. Beautiful facilities and a very peaceful environment....perfect for recharging and a good r&r. I love the sound of the waves from my bed, and just being practically on the beach whilst relaxing in the porch or chilling on the lounge chairs. A perfect getaway.

United KingdomIt is less intimate and personal than it appears on Booking.com. The cheaper accommodation is a double story block rather than a bungalow. Altantic ocean side of the island so no sunset to watch and the seawater is darker with an issue with seaweed.
The deluxe studio was spacious and well equipped. And right on the seafront. The hotel also had a small pool and hot tub. The chef, Jason, was very engaging and helpful.

Trinidad and TobagoHad it not been for the seaweed the stay here would’ve been perfect ,but it’s a problem all over and no fault of the hotel . We drove to Buccoo Beach which was ten mins or less drive from the hotel .
Literally a few steps from our room to the beach ,pool and restaurant.

United KingdomBreakfast was poor, especially the continental breakfast. No cheese/meats. Often only two fruit (mainly watermelon and papaya) - sometimes yoghurt and honey available (on request). It wasn’t clear what was included in the a la carte breakfast (e.g. teas/coffee etc). Lunch menu stated that fries were included with the specialty sandwiches. They were with some, not all. Nothing on the menu stating which was which. The hotel regularly ‘ran out’ of items on the menu…fish, for example for three days, bananas, ice cream and yoghurt. We appreciate this was low season, but would not expect a drop in standards or choices of the basics We were disappointed that both the booking.com and hotel’s website eroniously states that there is an on-site dive-shop. This closed a couple of years ago. The local diving shop is in Speyside, and the boats collect you at the hotels pier. But any arrangement with or shopping at the dive shop needs a personal visit, which was unexpected. Having a dive-shop onsite was the main driver of the four of us booking two weeks at this hotel.
Our room was lovely, overlooking the beach and bay, clean and light. Many of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and efficient, notably waitresses Erica and Marlene, and bar staff Arul and Timothy.

United StatesI'm not sure how this falls on the responsibility of BWI, the only thing we didn't like was the amount of rocks in the ocean 4 feet from the beach. Bring aqua shoes.
The staff were excellent. From the guard at the gate to the landscaper. Everyone was courteous, friendly, and willing to assist with any question or need. The food was excellent. Special thank you to Timothy, Kim and Genesis for being professional, and truly understand what hospitality means in the service industry.

Trinidad and Tobago🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Unforgettable Getaway! My stay at Blue Waters Inn was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a peaceful and relaxing environment surrounded by nature and the most beautiful ocean views. One of the highlights of our trip was definitely the bar—Timothy, the bartender, is a gem! He made the most delicious drinks and always served them with a smile. His warm personality and great conversation made our stay even more enjoyable. Timothy truly went above and beyond to make guests feel at home. 🥂 The room was clean, cozy, and opened up to a view that felt like paradise. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was calm, and the beach was perfect for morning walks and dips in the sea. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with great service and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend Blue Waters Inn. Can’t wait to come back!

ItalyThe swimming pool and beach facilities were not clean. The restaurant’s menu. We spent 5 days and there were no changes at all in the menu. No variato of fruits or ‘catch of the day’ . French toast unbeatable! Pancakes from the box. Finally the check out. I requested the bill the night before departing and it was 580 USD. There was 1 mistake either an additional drink that was removed. The morning of the check out there were 200 USD more. I checked and the acknowledged the mistakes. I left and got an email from the hotel that the forgot to include 75 USD. Messy! The bill included the hotel room that was fully paid at my arrival. VAT for any single items …a coke, a coffee to which is added Very confusing. 2 days after departing the hotel I have been dealing with the bill at the Bleu Water Inn.
The hotel is charming ,just on the water. Perfect to relax and spend 3 or 4 days far from everything. Staff nice and friendly.

NetherlandsOnly downside for me was that the waters were a little too wild to have a swim in. But there is a swimming pool and jacuzzi at the accomodation :)
Great staff and professional bartenders. My husband and I spent a part of our honeymoon here. Very easy to strike up a conversation with the locals in Speyside too and the other tourists. Very safe spot. Wonderful location in the middle of the rainforest. The sound of the waves will lull you to sleep. Very lovely birds and and other creatures to spot. Possible to do snorkeling, kayaking and bird tour by boat when the weather allows it. Good place for those who have some money to spend for their holiday. Make sure to call the receptionist to arrange a driver from the airport to the Inn because driving is very rough for those who don't know the roads.
